In this role, you willbe responsible foradministering the construction contract by managing,observingand reporting on ongoing construction on a variety of water and/or facilities infrastructure project to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications.\nObserve and inspect ongoing construction work including material sampling and testing as well as measuring quantities\n\nReview contractor’s work for compliance with contract document and clarify contract documents for the contractor\n\nLead the development and management of:\n\nChange/Field orders\n\nUpdates to construction schedule\n\nSubmittals\n\nRequest for Information (RFI)\n\nClaims\n\nPay requests\n\nConstruction meetings\n\nConstruction closeout process\n\nManage construction project budget and contract construction project\n\nCollaborate with design teams tofacilitateresponses to RFIs and submittals and/or construction issues\n\nCommunicate with contactor about non-conforming work\n\nSupervise/manage field staff and the execution of their daily work\n\nCorrespond with client, contractors, and other employees\n\nRead plan and specifications to be able to ensure construction isin accordance withplans and specifications\n\nCommunicate with owner to understand owner’s needs and clarify owner’sobjectivesand relay information to Freese and Nichols and contractor\n\nQualifications\nBachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience\n\n6+ years relevant experience in the construction field serving as a construction representative or inspector\n\nFully proficient and ability to mentor others using project management information system\n\nGood written and verbal communication skills\n\nWorking knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nProject experience onwater/wastewater collections\n\nProject experience with water/wastewater treatment\n\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) and/or Construction Management Institute Certification\n\nAbout Freese and Nichols\nAt the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (Learn continuously, Engage as family, Act with integrity, Deliver quality, and Serve always).
