While this date reflects our latest plans, it is subject to change, and postings may be extended or removed earlier than expected.\nWe Take Care of Our Team\nPosition offers a starting salary range of $108,000 - $139,000 USD\nPay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.\nBenefits include annual bonus program; 401k company contribution with company match up to 6% as well as non-elective company contribution of 3 - 7% depending on age; starting at 4 weeks paid vacation; 13+ calendar holidays; 8 weeks paid parental leave; employee assistance program; comprehensive healthcare plans and wellness programs; onsite fitness (at some locations); tuition assistance and volunteer paid time off; short-term and long-term disability plans.\n**Afternoon/ 2nd shift**\nWhat You Drive at DTNA\nDesign, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving to eliminate production issues and increase equipment efficiency.\nServe as the technical subject matter expert for manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and production methods.\nTroubleshoot and resolve chronic and sporadic manufacturing, quality, and equipment performance issues.\nMaintain process capability and stability for machining, assembly, and automated production systems.\nPartner with operations, maintenance, quality, and product engineering teams to support production and implement process improvements.\nDevelop production standards, procedures, equipment layouts, and manufacturing methods to maximize operational efficiency.\nConduct testing, data analysis, and validation activities to ensure process performance and regulatory compliance.\nFoster a collaborative, positive work environment focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.\nPeriodic supervision of production team\nKnowledge You Should Bring\nBS/BA in Engineering or Engineering Technology \n5-7 years of relevant experience \nKnowledge of or ability to apply Lean/Continuous improvement tools and principles, including experience with problem solving activities\nExtensive mechanical aptitude to diagnose issues with CNC machining equipment\nMachining tool background including drills, reamers, taps and mills\nExperienced with GD&T, CMM Reports and process sheets\nPrior experience leading projects to achieve elevated levels of performance and engagement in a manufacturing or logistics setting is required\nStrong interpersonal skills including the ability to use tact and diplomacy to exchange information, handle sensitive issues, and translate, simplify, and clarify information for employees is required\nProficient computer skills and utilizing MS Office Applications\nAbility to work weekends as needed \nExceptional Candidates Might Hav e\nMachining Experience\nQuality Mindset\nIdentify process bottlenecks leveraging production analysis tools\nPractical Problem Solving\nWorking in groups and providing direction for those groups\nShop Floor Management experience\nProficient communication skills\nExperience with UAW shop employees\nWhere We Work\nThis position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)-\nDetroit, MI US.
