While this date reflects our latest plans, it is subject to change, and postings may be extended or removed earlier than expected.\nWe Take Care of Our Team\nPosition offers a starting salary range of $78,000 - $100,000 USD\nPay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.\nBenefits include annual bonus program; 401k company contribution with company match up to 6% as well as non-elective company contribution of 3 - 7% depending on age; starting at 4 weeks paid vacation; 13+ calendar holidays; 8 weeks paid parental leave; employee assistance program; comprehensive healthcare plans and wellness programs; onsite fitness (at some locations); tuition assistance and volunteer paid time off; short-term and long-term disability plans.\nWhat You Drive at DTNA\nWork with the supplier to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented.\n\nManage timely resolution of supplier technical issues to ensure uninterrupted supply to production.\n\nStrategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting customer existing or new requirements.\n\nDocuments activities related to investigation, disposition, and resolution to quality complaints.\n\nConduct supplier audits to confirm product conformity, or drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.\n\nMonitor, communicate and improve key supplier quality KPI’s, including DPPM, Quality Complaints, and capacity to support OTS (On Time Ship) compliance.\n\nLead or support effort to establish specific short / long-term supplier quality goals.\n\nChampion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.\n\nWork to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply.\n\nInterface and support cross functional business units on topics relating to supplier quality.\n\nOversee containment actions at the supplier to mitigate the impact of quality issues to Daimler.\n\nDomestic and international travel (expected 30-50%)\n\nKnowledge You Should Bring\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or related\n\n1-3 year of related experience\n\nDemonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to present complex technical topics during meetings with suppliers and Daimler management.\n\nKnowledge of GD&T and MSA.\n\nAbility to understand metallurgical requirements and interpret reports.\n\nStrong problem solving skills and a solution-focused mindset.\n\nUnderstanding of quality problem solving tools such as 8D, 5-why, fishbone, etc.\n\nA customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand and address customer needs and expectations related to supplier quality topics.\n\nExceptional Candidates Might Have\nProject management experience\n\nStatistical process control experience\n\nFamiliarity with Engine, Axle, and Transmission components\n\nExperience with various manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, injection molding, stamping, & forging.\n\nExperience working with global suppliers and managing quality across different regions and cultures.\n\nKnowledge of a foreign language\n\nWhere We Work\nThis position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)-\nDetroit, MI US.
