Includes modifications or creating new applications to support production or strategic functions.\n\nEvaluate current production processes for continuous improvement opportunities. Recommend process changes and coordinate the implementation of these changes into production.\n\nCoordination of Capital projects which includes researching vendor sources, request quotations, selecting vendors, developing justification, writing AFE, set due date, issue requisitions (coordinate with Purchasing), schedule tryouts, trouble shoot and approve equipment.\n\nAnalyze area's annual Capital Spending Plan for project feasibility and implement as deemed necessary in regard to SQDCME Targets.\n\nAssist in strategic planning by evaluating processes and identifying potential improvements.\n\nOversee pre-series and product changeovers in area and report on findings.\n\nMaintain plant layout for area, develop alternative layout solutions to improve process flow, material presentation, material delivery, etc.\n\nReview production transport, material delivery and storage requirements. Design, specify, order, and coordinate fabrication of required carts, dollies, racks, etc.\n\nReview production tooling and fixture requirements. Design, specify, order, and coordinate fabrication of required tools and fixtures.\n\nMaintain all ISO-9001 related documentation related to Mfg Eng to ensure compliance.\n\nEstablish and maintain visual management of ongoing (hot) projects.\n\nEnsure engineering practices comply with government regulations and safety standards.\n\nAssist Facilities maintenance in troubleshooting/supporting mfg.\n\nReview and update preventive maintenance procedures on all equipment in area.\n\nKnowledge You Should Bring\nBachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering with 4 years of related experience.
