Production and Assembly Support\nProvide technical support for daily sub-module assembly, final assembly, equipment integration, setup, and testing activities.\nReview project requirements, drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, and relevant engineering documentation.\nSupport Production Leads in preparing equipment build plans, work sequence, and technical tasks.\nAssist technicians in resolving assembly and integration issues.\nEnsure production follows approved build instructions, SOPs, customer requirements, and engineering changes.\nEscalate major or complex technical issues to the Senior Engineer or responsible Engineering team.\n2. Equipment Setup and Testing\nSupport equipment power-up, setup, functional testing, and qualification activities.\nAssist technicians in executing approved setup and test procedures.\nReview test observations and results and identify abnormalities requiring investigation.\nTroubleshoot routine mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, assembly, and integration issues.\nCoordinate with Senior Engineers or relevant Engineering teams for complex or recurring problems.\nCompile build and test issues and coordinate technical feedback to customers where required.\n3. Technician Support and Training\nProvide technical guidance to assembly and test technicians.\nTrain and certify technicians on assembly processes, tools, equipment, work instructions, and customer requirements.\nSupport technician skill-matrix and competency evaluations.\nShare troubleshooting knowledge and lessons learned with production staff.\nDevelop and maintain troubleshooting records or guides for future reference.\n4. Process Improvement\nCollect and review production information such as build time, cycle time, yield, defects, and downtime.\nRecommend improvements to production workflow, layout, assembly methods, and equipment setup.\nSupport development of jigs, fixtures, assembly aids, and mistake-proofing solutions.\nParticipate in Lean, 5S, Kaizen, OPEX, and continuous improvement activities.\nSupport collection and verification of standard build and test hours.\n5. Quality and Process Control\nEnsure assembly and testing activities comply with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable procedures.\nAct as checker for applicable in-process and production checklists.\nParticipate in MRB reviews and provide production technical input.\nSupport root-cause analysis, CAPA, 8D, and investigation of recurring production issues.\nConduct briefings or training arising from customer quality requirements and lessons learned.\n6. Engineering Change and Documentation\nPrepare and update production work instructions, SOPs, checklists, and process documentation.\nReview Engineering Changes affecting production and support implementation on the production floor.\nTrain production personnel on changes affecting equipment assembly or testing.\nMaintain accurate records of deviations, corrective actions, and production technical issues.\nEnsure production uses the latest approved documentation.\n7. New Product Introduction\nSupport pilot builds, first-article builds, engineering validation builds, and transfer to production.\nParticipate in customer or project meetings related to new product introduction and first-article builds.\nHighlight schedule, build, material, and technical risks to the Production Lead and project team.\nProvide manufacturability and assembly feedback based on production experience.\nSupport estimation and validation of assembly and test hours for new projects.\nDocument lessons learned and support handover to repeat or volume production.\n8. Cross-Functional and Customer Support\nWork closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Project, Manufacturing Engineering, and Design Engineering teams.\nRespond to internal technical enquiries related to production builds.\nSupport customer enquiries related to equipment build, setup, and testing.\nCoordinate shop-floor technical issues with Production Leads and technicians.\nSupport equipment maintenance and calibration activities where required.\n9. Overseas Assignment\nSupport equipment assembly, installation, setup, testing, qualification, modification, and troubleshooting at overseas manufacturing or customer sites.\nBe prepared to travel overseas for assignments typically lasting 1 to 2 months when required.\nWork closely with customers, local teams, and internal engineering personnel during overseas assignments.\nProvide regular progress, issue, and risk updates to the Production Lead and relevant stakeholders.\nComply with company and customer-site safety, quality, and operational requirements.\nQualifications\nDiploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Precision Engineering, or related discipline.\nRelevant experience in semiconductor equipment, automation equipment, precision equipment, or complex machine assembly and testing is preferred.\nCandidates with strong hands-on equipment assembly and testing experience may also be considered.\nKey Skills and Attributes\nGood troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.\nStrong hands-on understanding of equipment assembly, integration, setup, and testing.\nAble to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, cable diagrams, and technical documentation.\nGood technical writing and documentation skills.
