Frequentis also delivers advanced voice communication systems, command-and-control solutions, and deployable air traffic control technologies tailored to defence environments.\n\nYour Role\nWe are looking for a Voice Over IP Communications Service Engineer with knowledge from the Linux platform, who will act as a key contact for customers ensuring high system availability and service quality throughout the system lifecycle.\nJoin our team and help make our systems even more reliable and customer oriented. Work for an international technological leader and enjoy flexible working arrangements, professional growth opportunities, and a strong focus on work-life balance.\n\nWorking Model\nHybrid working model with 3-4 days per week on-site in our Bratislava office and 1-2 days of home office\nInternational business travel approximately 25-30% of the time for customer installations, upgrades and acceptance activities (depending on project assignment)\nKey Tasks\nMain Responsibilities\nAct as first point of contact for customer technical issues during service lifecycle, ensuring compliance with system requirements and quality standards\nHandle incidents, problems, and service requests within agreed SLAs\nPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions\nSupport system changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities\nMonitor system performance and ensure availability\nMaintain accurate documentation of incidents and solutions\nCollaborate with delivery and product teams for issue resolution\nKey Qualifications\nTechnical Skills & Competencies\nStrong experience with Linux (RHEL), including troubleshooting and performance tuning\nExperience with virtualization (VMware, KVM)\nUnderstanding of networking, VoIP (SIP), SBC & PABX systems\nFamiliarity with automation (Ansible) and scripting (Bash)\nExperience in system integration and customer-facing roles\nAbility to work independently and lead technical topics\nStrong troubleshooting skills in complex environments\nExperience with monitoring tools (Zabbix) and service management (ITIL is a plus)\nSkills considered as an advantage\nExperience with Windows Server installation and maintenance\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)\nExperience with database system (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DBMS)\nRequirements for the employee\nCandidates with education suit the position\nSecondary with school-leaving examination\nUniversity education (Bachelor's degree)\nUniversity education (Master's degree)\nEducational Specialization - Information Technology, Telecommunications\nLanguage skills English - Advanced (C1) and Slovak - Intermediate (B1)\nPersonality requirements and skills\nCustomer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivery excellence\nProfessional communication skills, even in critical situations\nWillingness to undergo security clearance (NBÚ)\nWillingness to participate in an on-call duty rotation\nStrong professional communication and client-relationship skills, including in critical situations and under time pressure\nFlexible, self-driven, goal-oriented, and structured in your approach to work\nAbility to follow corporate processes and standards\nComfortable working both on-site with customers and in the office (Vienna and Bratislava), balancing technical work with communication and coordination\nWillingness to travel regularly to Vienna or to customer sites for installations, upgrades, and acceptance\nDue to the nature of the position and applicable security requirements, applicants must have valid authorization to work in EU/Slovakia at the time of application.activities (typically planned, not ad-hoc)\nOur Values\nAround 2 600 employees are committed to creating a safer world with their innovative strength and technology orientation.
