From automation to tower systems, voice communication to traffic optimisation, information management to surveillance, networks to UTM and recording, we offer a broad range of solutions that cater to all ATM operational needs.\nYour Role\nWe are looking for a System Engineer who will be responsible for the technical implementation, deployment, and quality assurance of our systems throughout their full lifecycle in the Air Traffic Management domain.\nThis is a hands-on system engineering role, involving on-site installations, system upgrades, and direct interaction with customers, covering activities from system design and integration to acceptance, commissioning, and operational support.\nKey Tasks\nOn-site installation, integration, and system upgrades at customer locations (airports, ATM centers); \nActive participation in system design phases, including architecture discussions and technical reviews;\nInvolvement in Critical Design Review (CDR), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with customers;\nDirect customer interaction during commissioning, acceptance, and operational phases, including support of incident and problem resolution within agreed service levels;\nClose cooperation with Customer Service and Support teams during in-house and on-site system activities;\nDocumentation and analysis of reported incidents and problems;\nCoordinating and carrying out root cause analyses and remedies;\nDesigning, planning and technically executing changes and extensions to existing systems (change requests);\nIntegrating systems and system components into existing system environments;\nPerforming system audits;\nCollaborating with Product Management by providing technical and operational input for continuous product improvements and extensions, based on system lifecycle experience and customer feedback;\nSupporting the transition from delivery projects to the support phase, including building up the required know-how for operating and maintaining handed-over solutions;\nDrafting/updating technical documentation on systems and their interfaces;\nCoordinating with product and development teams on error analysis and troubleshooting.\nKey Qualifications\nTechnical Skills & Competencies:\nInstall, configure, and maintain Linux servers (particularly RHEL), including updates, upgrades & troubleshooting issues;\nBash scripting;\nSolid experience with virtualization platforms (VMware preferred);\nExperience with SBC & PABX;\nExperience with various storage technologies;\nGood understanding of basic networking; \nUnderstanding of clustering concepts;\nAbility to create technical documentation, including step-by-step instructions, specifications, and requirements;\nAble to quickly adapt to frequent software releases. \nSkills considered as an advantage:\nExperience with ATM Voice Communication Systems or safety-critical environments; \nKnowledge of VoIP and SIP protocols;\nExperience with analogue and digital voice interfaces;\nBasic understanding of telecom signaling and voice networking;\nPrior exposure to customer-facing system engineering roles.\n\nPersonality requirements and skills:\nComfortable working both on-site with customers and in the office (Vienna and Bratislava), balancing technical work with communication and coordination);\nWillingness to travel to customer sites for installations, upgrades, and acceptance activities (typically planned, not ad-hoc);\nYou are flexible, self-driven, goal-oriented and structured in how you approach your work;\nYou can integrate yourself into a larger cooperation, follow corporate processes.\n\nCandidates with education suit the position\nSecondary with school-leaving examination\nUniversity education (Bachelor's degree)\nUniversity education (Master's degree) \nEducational Specialization\nInformation Technology\nTelecommunications\nLanguage skills\nEnglish - Upper intermediate (B2)\nOur Values\nAround 3,600 employees are committed to creating a safer world with their innovative strength and technology orientation.
