These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). With headquarters in Vienna, the company employs more than 2300 people worldwide, with subsidiaries, regional offices and representatives in over 50 countries.\nIn Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 250+ colleagues and is growing.\nYou will work on a microservices based framework MosaiX utilized across the company to run and integrate multiple Frequentis Air Traffic Management products. You will develop reusable services, software packages and libraries to be used by other teams in the company. The platform runs on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, handles the deployment and configuration of the OS and supports the configuration and orchestration of containerized services.\nYou will contribute to continuously modernize and evolve our deployment and configuration automation solution, to keep up with state of the art technologies and methodologies.\nWe are developing for a safety-critical environment, following industry standards, where high availability and redundancy are basic requirements.\nKey Tasks\nIntegrate open source third party services onto the MosaiX Platform (i.e. Redhat Identity Management, Cassandra, Zabbix, Postgres, Etcd, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, OpenSearch, and more). \nAs a power user and maintainer of 3rd party services, continuously measure and improve the performance to enable scaling the whole system to serve large air traffic control centers with hundreds of operator positions. \nDesign, implement and maintain automation solutions for deployment, configuration and verification of the MosaiX infrastructure and auxiliary layers. \nContinuously extend, improve and integrate components using CI/CD best practices and IaC (Infrastructure as Code), to implement lifecycle updates and security fixes on a regular basis. \nSupport product development teams migrating their applications to the MosaiX platform, ensuring alignment with the intended platform design and principles. \nKey Qualifications\nDeep knowledge of Linux and container technologies (Docker) \nHands-on experience with Ansible (Puppet experience is a plus) \nKnowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Bash and/or experience in building software solutions using other programming languages \nExperience in software engineering practices like test-driven-development (TDD) to ensure high-quality software \nIP networking know-how \nPractical experience with CI/CD, and automation to improve efficiency in day-to-day development \nFamiliar with cloud-native concepts including experience with service-oriented architecture and infrastructure as code solutions \nPositive mindset towards DevOps, agility, and teamwork \nOpenness to new technologies and willingness to learn niche technologies used in safety-critical environments \nWillingness to work with cross-cultural teams in a safety-critical environment \nGood English skills (both written and spoken) \nOur Values\nFrequentis team is committed to creating a safer world with our innovative strength and technology orientation.
