JOB SUMMARY

IT Network Administrator reports to the IT Manager. IT Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and managing the network infrastructure for our manufacturing company, Freres Engineered Wood. IT NetworkAdministratorwill also be responsible in providing technical support to maintain the organization’s computer and network systems, both hardware and software and other peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance so that end users can maintain a high level of productivity. This position is essentially being groomed as a successor to the IT Manager. You will have hands-on technical work, while also taking on management responsibilities when appropriate.

This is not a remote or hybrid position. Onsite work will always be required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manage an enterprise Microsoft infrastructure including MS O365 Administration, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Windows Server, Windows 11, MS Teams
• Proficient in the use of MS InTune
• Support IT personnel in installing, upgrading, and monitoring network hardware and software components
• Network device management of firewalls, switches, and WAPs including security policies, troubleshooting, VLAN and port configuration, routing, and switching
• Support the IT Manager in maintaining and enhancing Cybersecurity Tools and Policies
• Support the IT Manager in managing mission critical third-party software and maintenance/upgrades
• Support the IT Manager in the implementation and enforcement of network security policies, including firewall rules, intrusion detection, certificates, and access control measures
• Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues
• Regularly update and patch network devices and systems to protect against vulnerabilities
• Assist the IT Manager to develop and implement information security procedures and processes, including monitoring networks and systems for vulnerabilities, backup, storage and retrieval functions, which also include disaster recovery plans.
• Ability to develop relationships and coordinate with vendors and outside agencies for IT needs.
• Must continue to stay up to date with new technology and best practices.
• Communicates and provides reports to the IT Manager and others as needed on a regular basis.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities are not limited to the above-mentioned and may include assisting other branches with reasonable and related tasks.

• You must be able to work in an office environment as well as a shop environment as job duties require. May be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals, and vapors.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and/or squat frequently.

QUALIFICATIONS

• May require an associate degree or higher, or its equivalent; and Minimum Job-Related Experience of 2 years or more managing IT networks.
• Windows and Network Certifications considered ; examples include - Microsoft IT Support Specialist Prof. Certificate, Microsoft Cloud Support Associate Prof. Certificate, Microsoft Cybersecurity Analyst Prof. Certificate, etc.
• Works independently with very limited supervision; self-directed and self-starter.
• Be an outside-the-box thinker; innovative.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to make important sound decisions under pressure.
