You are architecting solutions that help our clients bridge the gap between legacy reliability and modern efficiency - not just writing code.\nYou will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, providing our clients with consulting services in support of their business applications systems.\nDay-to-Day Responsibilities\nConsult & Collaborate:Support our clients in resolving application issues, identify business needs, and deliver solutions throughout the full project life cycle.\nArchitect & Develop:Analyze, design, code, and test software applications using all versions of RPG and SQL.\nTesting and Quality Assurance:Ensure program and application integrity through various testing phases (Unit, Integration, Smoke, etc.).\nDocument and Communicate:Translate system architecture into clear textual and visual documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nQuality Leadership:Capable of leading a small technical team when required. Lead code reviews for database and logic changes.\nModernize:Support our clients to transform legacy business applications into modern, scalable ILE applications.\nWhat You Bring to the Table\nExpertise:20+ years of proven experience with the IBM i (iSeries/AS/400) platform.\nAdvanced RPG:Mastery of various forms of RPG (especially RPGLE, including Free-form syntax and embedded SQL).\nERP / Package Experience:Proven hands-on experience with JDA/MMS (Mandatory).\nDatabase Depth:Expert-level DB2 application programming and database design.\nModern Concepts:Deep understanding of ILE concepts (Modules, Service Programs, Binding Directories)\nChange Management:Experience navigating structured deployment and version control processes.\nCommunication:Capable of verbal and written communication with various levels of client personnel.
