The role acts as the payroll implementation readiness lead across design, testing, controls, training, cutover, and stabilization, providing vendor assurance that payroll can be delivered accurately, compliantly, and without disruption post go-live.\nKey Responsibilities\nPayroll Readiness Leadership\nOwn end-to-end payroll readiness across people, process, technology, data, controls, and vendor support.\nEstablish and manage readiness gates, entry/exit criteria, and go/no-go recommendations.\nDrive resolution of readiness risks, dependencies, and open issues impacting payroll delivery.\nProcess & Operational Readiness\nValidate future-state payroll processes, SOPs, operating procedures, and service delivery model.\nEnsure clear ownership, governance, escalation paths, and support structures are in place prior to go-live.\nVerify operational handover readiness between project, vendor, and payroll operations teams.\nTesting & Quality Assurance\nLead payroll business testing readiness, including SIT, UAT, parallel payroll, reconciliation, and control validation.\nReview testing outcomes, defect closure, and business sign-off quality.\nEnsure payroll accuracy and compliance requirements are demonstrated before deployment.\nData, Controls & Compliance\nOversee workday data quality, payroll data readiness, migration validation, reconciliations, and audit evidence.\nEnsure key payroll controls, SOD, security access, and compliance requirements are embedded and operational.\nValidate mitigation plans for any residual control or compliance risks.\nCutover & Go-Live Management\nCoordinate payroll cutover activities, business sign-offs, contingency planning, and operational acceptance.\nLead go-live readiness reviews and recommend go/no-go decisions based on evidence.\nEstablish command center governance and hyper care support structures.\nStabilization & Transition to Operations\nMonitor post-go-live performance, payroll accuracy, SLA achievement, defects, and user adoption.\nDrive issue resolution during hyper care and stabilization.\nConfirm operational ownership transfer and readiness to move into business-as-usual support.\nExperience & Qualifications\n15+ years of HR & payroll implementation, and or HR or payroll transformation experience.\nProven experience leading HR & payroll deployments, migrations, managed services transitions, or cloud HR & payroll implementations.\nStrong understanding of payroll controls, compliance, testing, cutover, and operational readiness.\nExperience working with HR -
