Visit freshconsulting.com/portfolio to see our project work across several industries.\nView and apply to all jobs - https://freshconsulting.applytojob.com/apply/ or visit freshconsulting.com/careers.\nTitle: Electrical Engineer V\nDuration: 6-month contract\nLocation: Sunnyvale, CA - Onsite (5 days/week)\nBenefits: Employee benefits at 100% including Medical, PTO, Holiday Pay, 401K Plan and much more!\nRole:\nPartner with prototype teams to support builds that include electrical and mechanical assembly, component-level placement and rework, and bring-up with engineering teams to accelerate early concept development for mixed reality hardware\nServe as the primary point of contact for electrical hardware testing and troubleshooting, working with other engineers to root-cause failures and define preventive and corrective actions\nDebug hardware using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers\nPerform PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) and FPC (flexible printed circuit) rework in an electrical lab environment\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, architecture, product design, NPI, and research\nExecute multiple workstreams simultaneously, independently balancing and prioritizing workload to meet timeline constraints\nQualifications:\n8+ years of experience with prototypes or bench electrical assembly, bring-up, electro-mechanical integration, and electrical and mechanical debug\nFull-cycle board ownership experience\nBreadth of experience across electrical engineering domains\nAbility to read and understand schematics and locate components on PCBs using design schematics and layout viewers\nExperience setting up, supporting, and maintaining hardware in a lab environment\nAbility to generate complete assembly and test documentation for prototype assembly and test setups, and share results\nStrong creativity, verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills\nCritical thinker who leverages innovative ideas; detail-oriented team player\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSystems-level engineering development and test experience with complex integrated electromechanical assemblies\nExperience with system-level electrical design, including circuit design, system bring-up, integration, and debug\nExperience specifying components, building schematics, completing board layouts, and assembling, testing, debugging, and integrating designs into opto-electro-mechanical systems\nSoldering experience with fine-pitch devices, 0201 or 0402 components, BGA/CSP, and power component rework\nParts programming experience (FPGA, Flash, etc.) and ability to take scope measurements\nFPGA capability\nWearables or small-form-factor consumer hardware background\nFirmware or scripting skills to self-serve during bring-up\nCompensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
