But you should want to know why.\nWe’re seeking a person who thinks like an engineer:\nSees code as part of a system, not just a task\n\nCares deeply about clarity, naming, and tradeoffs\n\nWants to understand why something works, not just that it does\n\nFeels uneasy when the wrong abstraction appears repeatedly\n\nCan clearly explain concepts to a junior dev, PM, or their future self\n\nWe don’t expect trivia-but we do expect curiosity and solid mental models. You should be familiar with:\nWhy { } === { } is false in JavaScript\n\nWhat happens if you pass a new object in a React hook dependency array\n\nHow closures work and why they matter\n\nAvoiding side effects that break memoization\n\nWhy abstraction is about boundaries-not just DRY\n\nIf you already care about reference semantics, testability, or naming, you’ll feel at home here.\nTasks\nDevelop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js/TypeScript\n\nImplement complex frontend behaviors with React\n\nWork across a shared, client-customizable codebase\n\nRecognize emerging patterns, craft reusable abstractions, and refactor responsibly\n\nInfluence structure, testing, and performance in the codebase\n\nContribute to technical decision-making-not just execute tickets\n\nRequirements\nVery good knowledge of Node.JS\n\nStrong knowledge of ES 6 JavaScript as well as extensive knowledge of frameworks and libraries such as reactJS, vue.js and/or Angular\n\nSound experience with relational or non-relational databases\n\nGood knowledge of data structure design\n\nCompetences in consuming and creating web services based on ReST and especially GraphQL\n\nKnow-how in performance optimization\n\nBasic knowledge of HTML and CSS is helpful\n\nExperience with agile development in a team\n\nHands-on experience with automated software testing\n\nBasic knowledge in API security\n\nFluent in English\n\nNice to have:\nExperience of PHP, ideally with frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel or Yii\n\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker etc.\n\nExperience with container orchestration tools like, i.a., Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker Swarm\n\nKnowledge of designing and adapting software to be twelve factor applications\n\nKnowledge of continuous integration via tools like Jenkins\n\nExperience with Next.js\n\nExperience with TypeScript\n\nAll people are welcome here, regardless of gender, age, sexual identity, origin, religion, ideology, with or without a disability.
