Work When It Works for You.\nField Technician - FreshPure Water Machines\n1099 Independent Contractor|$25/hrDeerfield, IL\nIf you like working independently, hate being stuck at a desk, and want a consistent route you can count on - this might be exactly what you’re looking for.\nNWS operates water vending machines in retail stores across the country. We’re building a team of Field Technicians in Deerfield, IL to keep those machines clean, stocked, and running right. It’s straightforward work, it pays well, and you’re in charge of your own time.\nWhat You’ll Actually Be Doing\nEach week (or every two weeks, depending on the location), you’ll visit your assigned stores and:\nClean and disinfect the FreshPure machine inside and out\nTake meter readings and log the data on your service report\nSnap photos of the machine condition at every visit\nSubmit your completed report to the home office when you’re done\nCall in anything that looks off - damage, mechanical issues, anything unusual\nThat’s it. Each stop takes about an hour. Your total hours per week depend on how many stores are on your route.\nWhat Makes This Different from Other Gig Work\nConsistent, scheduled route - not random job pickups\nSame stores every week, so you know exactly where you’re going\n$25/hr all-in - your mileage and travel are already baked into the rate\nSupplies provided - we give you everything you need to do the job\nReal support - a home office contact you can actually reach\nThis Is NOT a Repair Job\nYou’re not expected to fix anything. If a machine has a mechanical or technical issue, you flag it and we send a Service Technician. Your job is to keep things clean, documented, and reported - that’s where your value is.\nWhat You Need to Get Started\nA reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license\nA smartphone with a camera for photo submissions\nAttention to detail - you follow the checklist, every time\nYou show up when you’re scheduled. That’s the most important thing.\nNo experience in water systems required. If you’ve done field services, retail merchandising, delivery routes, janitorial work, or anything similar - you’ll hit the ground running.\n\nWho Thrives in This Role\nThis is a great fit if you’re already doing gig work and want something more predictable layered in, or if you’re looking for flexible part-time income that fits around your schedule. People who do well here tend to be:\nSelf-starters who don’t need someone looking over their shoulder\nDetail-oriented - you notice things other people miss\nReliable - your stores count on you showing up\nGood communicators - you keep the home office in the loop\nHow to Apply\nClick “Apply Now” to be directed to our application. It only takes a few minutes to complete.\nIf we’re moving forward, you’ll hear from us by email. Interviews are conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams - we’ll send you a calendar invite with everything you need.\nYou can also view all open positions across our locations at:\nfreshpure.com/careers","description_format":"text","description_chars":3003,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Home office"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Vending & Automated Retail"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-13T20:27:16Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":1,"expected_fill_days":88,"reasons":["conf:2","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-15T05:46:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/freshpure-waters-technician","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/freshpure-waters-technician.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-15T19:43:37Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":29915,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-16T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":709750},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=709750"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Ffreshpure-waters-technician"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Ffreshpure-waters-technician"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Ffreshpure-waters-technician"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/freshpure-waters-technician\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Ffreshpure-waters-technician"}]}
