This opportunity is suited to experienced mechanical design engineers who can produce accurate engineering outputs and provide clear technical judgment across the design and validation process.\nYou’ll contribute engineering expertise to a project focused on developing advanced AI systems for engineering applications by reviewing, creating, and evaluating mechanical engineering outputs. Prior AI experience is not required.\nKey Responsibilities\n3D CAD Modeling\nProduce detailed 3D CAD models of mechanical components.\n\nModel components using platforms such as SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA.\n\nReview CAD outputs for technical accuracy and completeness.\n\nApply appropriate engineering requirements when developing component designs.\n\nTechnical Drawings & Engineering Specifications\nInterpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.\n\nIdentify critical dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications.\n\nProduce and document component requirements clearly and accurately.\n\nDefine and communicate manufacturing tolerances and relevant specifications.\n\nStress Analysis & FEA\nApply conceptual knowledge of stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA).\n\nProvide technical insights and feedback on FEA-related engineering tasks.\n\nSupport validation of engineering outputs through sound mechanical engineering judgment.\n\nReview analysis-related outputs for technical accuracy and consistency.\n\nTechnical Documentation\nCreate clear, structured technical specifications and documentation.\n\nReview and improve existing technical documentation.\n\nEnsure engineering requirements, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications are accurately represented.\n\nMaintain a high standard of technical clarity and documentation quality.\n\nEngineering Review & AI Evaluation\nReview and critique CAD outputs and technical engineering content.\n\nProvide expert written and verbal feedback on mechanical engineering outputs.\n\nIdentify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or areas requiring improvement.\n\nSupport the validation and refinement of AI-generated engineering outputs.\n\nCollaboration\nCollaborate asynchronously with cross-functional teams.\n\nCommunicate technical requirements and feedback clearly through remote communication tools.\n\nWork independently while maintaining alignment with project objectives.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design engineering.\n\nStrong experience with 3D CAD modeling.\n\nProficiency in at least one of SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA.\n\nStrong ability to interpret and produce technical drawings.\n\nExperience working with dimensions, specifications, and manufacturing tolerances.\n\nConceptual understanding of stress analysis and FEA principles.\n\nExperience reviewing and producing technical engineering documentation.\n\nAbility to define component requirements and engineering specifications.\n\nStrong understanding of engineering validation processes.\n\nExperience modeling mechanical components as a design engineer.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication
