Eliminating or reducing risks where practicable by complying with site safety rules and instructions and reporting hazards to management for prompt action.\n\nCollaborate with production team to ensure correct prioritisation of daily/weekly action.\n\nBe aware of the impact maintenance may have on the energy performance of equipment, in particular equipment which is a significant energy user.\n\nBe aware of the impact maintenance may have on equipment safety features and the potential safety risks or hazards due to the removal or alteration of such features.\n\nAdhere to Plant Safety requirements and Health & Safety requirements relating to your work, assuming responsibility for those aspects of the OH&S System over which you have control to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.\n\nBe aware of the potential environmental impacts associated with your work and the implications of non-conformance.\n\nContribute to enhanced energy performance by conservation of energy where possible (Lighting, Equipment, Air Conditioning etc).\n\nContribute to the continual improvement activities of the OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management systems through participation, providing feedback/ suggestions for improvement and by reporting accidents, dangerous occurrence, near miss/ illness, good catch and environmental incidents in a timely manner.\n\nTraining relevant Production Operators in correct use of process equipment and in product specifications.\n\nQualifications:\nThe successful candidate will ideally have previous trade experience (Toolmaker, Fitter, Electrician, Mechanic etc.) or NFQ Level 6 in a Technical Discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or Electrical).\n\nMechanical, Electrical or Lean Six Sigma certification - Highly Desirable.\n\nProcess experience in Grinding, Moulding, EDM and/or Laser processes - Distinct Advantage.\n\nExcellent attention to detail and communication skills.\n\nAbility to be adaptable and flexible while managing multiple ongoing tasks.\n\nEnthusiastic and positive attitude in dealing with people.\n\nA hands-on approach to diagnosing and fixing manufacturing issues.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues in a systematic approach.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel.\n\n \nThe Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
