Proactively manage regulatory data for substances and raw materials.\nEnable safe and compliant operations: Ensure Chem-Trend employees have timely access to the information they need to manage materials safely and compliantly.\nSupport global chemical compliance: Help maintain compliance with chemical inventory and registration requirements through data verification and substance volume tracking.\n Navigate regulatory reporting: Support governmental reporting requirements, including TSCA 12(b) notifications and other applicable obligations.\nPartner with Technology: Work closely with Technology teams to assess new raw materials and developmental chemistry. Help identify chemical control, health, safety, environmental, compatibility, business, and customer considerations early in the development process.\nBe a customer resource: Respond to customer regulatory requests and questions with accurate, timely, and practical solutions.\nStay ahead of change: Monitor emerging and evolving regulations, assess their impact on Chem-Trend, communicate requirements to stakeholders, and help implement compliant solutions within established deadlines.\n Protect confidential information: Support Confidential Business Information (CBI) applications when needed.\nImprove how we work: Lead process improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory records and documentation are maintained according to internal and external retention requirements.\n Build regulatory knowledge: Develop and maintain procedures and technical documentation, and provide training on regulatory topics as needed.\nQualifications:\nWe’re looking for someone with:\nA Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, or a related scientific discipline.\n5+ years of experience in product regulatory compliance and SDS authoring within the chemical industry.\nStrong knowledge of regional chemical control regulations, hazard communication, dangerous goods classification, transportation regulations, and chemical compatibility.\nExperience with integrated compliance systems such as SAP EHS.\nAbility to obtain DOT, IATA, and IMO transportation certifications.\nStrong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.\nThe strongest candidates will bring:\nA strong understanding of product chemistry and the ability to translate that knowledge into regulatory requirements.\nExceptional attention to detail-you know that in regulatory work, the little things matter.\nExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nThe ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a changing environment.\nA natural curiosity and a problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.\nSelf-motivation and the confidence to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team.\n \nThe Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
