We are seeking a Process Engineer to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations in our protein hydrolysates manufacturing facility. In this role, you will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, and other stakeholders to improve processes, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and manage capital projects that enhance plant performance and reliability.\nAs a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting production operations while leading technical and engineering improvements across the facility. You will work closely with plant personnel to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, conduct process trials, optimize yields and throughput, and implement Lean Six Sigma-driven improvements.\nKey responsibilities include:\nOperations Support\nPartner with production teams to troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes.\nPlan, execute, and evaluate process trials for troubleshooting and product development.\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve yield, efficiency, throughput, and waste reduction.\nSupport safety, environmental, quality, and change-management initiatives.\nParticipate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.\nMaintain and update technical documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).\nCapital Project Management\nDefine project scope and user requirements based on operational and business needs.\nLead capital projects from concept through startup, including equipment selection, design review, budgeting, risk assessment, installation, and commissioning.\nCoordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure project quality and successful execution.\nProvide regular project updates and ensure smooth handover to operating teams.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Manufacturing, or a related field.\nMinimum of 2 years of Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.\nKnowledge of unit operations such as filtration, evaporation, reactions, heat exchange, and drying.\nUnderstanding of GMP and food safety requirements.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.\nExperience supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation is preferred.\nAbout FrieslandCampina Ingredients North America Inc.:\nFrieslandCampina Ingredients North America Inc. is part of Royal FrieslandCampina, a global market leader in dairy-based ingredients.
