(Friday afternoons off);\nTruly flexible work arrangements: remote, hybrid, or in-office-the choice is yours;\nUp to 7 weeks of vacation per year, sick days, and personal days: your well-being matters to us.\nComprehensive group insurance coverage starting the day you join;\nA contribution to your RRSP;\nA $400 allowance for purchasing ergonomic equipment;\nLife at the studio\nAccess to chair massages, fresh fruit and snacks, a gym, sports activities, and more;\nRegular presentations on projects and new developments: we keep our team informed about what’s happening at Frima;\nClose-knit, supportive, and inclusive teams-even when working remotely!\nCome discover the rest for yourself!\n What your weeks are going to look like\nDetermine the most appropriate technical means to achieve the project’s objectives, taking into account constraints (technical, budgetary, and time-related);\nEnsure smooth communication with other departments (design, art, production) to ensure optimal integration of the project’s various components;\nMonitor schedules and deliverables in accordance with the initial technical plan and anticipate any necessary adjustments;\nIdentify and propose solutions to technical issues that could impact production;\nEnsure code optimization and system performance to guarantee optimal fluidity and stability;\nOrganize and lead regular meetings with the team to track progress, anticipate risks, and verify that deadlines are being met;\nAssist programmers in resolving technical issues and provide support when they encounter roadblocks;\nMotivate, guide, and support the direct team by providing coaching through continuous feedback;\nContribute to the development of skills and internal talent in your area of expertise by rigorously monitoring performance and developing relevant training plans tailored to corporate needs and strategic directions;\nBuild a relationship of trust with the partner and serve as the point of contact in your area of expertise;\nParticipate in project reviews and post-mortems;\nEnsure partner satisfaction by maintaining transparency and rigorously tracking requests and necessary adjustments;\nParticipate in discussions with other leads and Director to share best practices and technical innovations;\nDevelop and optimize, in collaboration with your team, reusable tools and features to improve the efficiency of your project;\nContribute to the improvement of development processes and methods to optimize productivity and the quality of deliverables.\n What we're looking for\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, combined with experience deemed equivalent;\nAt least five (5) years of experience in video game programming;\nExperience as a lead programmer or in a similar role;\nStrong proficiency in C++ and optimization skills;\nProficiency with the Unreal game engine is a significant asset;\nGood understanding of the various hardware and software layers involved in the execution of a video game;\nExperience in mobile game development (a significant asset);\nExcellent command of French and English (written and spoken).
