Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), preclinical safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Mechanical Maintenance Technician will perform activities and tasks necessary to maintain the proper operation of mechanical systems, the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, the Building Automation System, (BAS) as well as perform general building maintenance and repairs.\nResponsibilities:\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nAssist in keeping building heating & cooling systems operational by completing assigned preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions with oversight from supervisor and facilities staff.\nAssist in the maintenance and repair of various building equipment and systems including, but not limited to plumbing and piping systems, HVAC, electrical distribution, and boilers. \nPerforms minor plumbing maintenance (replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, etc.)\nPerforms minor electrical maintenance to include, but not limited to, replacement or repair of fixtures (wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cord, etc.) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.\nPerform assigned safety and system inspections documenting all details.\nPerform various housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe facility. \nMaintains clean, well-organized work area while performing all assigned tasks in a manner consistent with company safety/environmental regulations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:\nPrefer at least one (1) year experience in the building industry, maintenance and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment. Knowledge of building construction is helpful. Willing to be trained.\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\nMust be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and have an overall familiarity with computer software systems.\nPossess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, and supervisors.\nPhysically able to unpack, pack, lift, and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and move 50+ lbs. with assistance.\nMust be willing to work evening and weekend on occasion, able to work flexible hours and be part of the on-call rotation.\nThe ideal candidate will be a motivated team player with excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong problem solving capabilities.\nEducation and Requirements:\nRequired qualifications are a High school diploma or equivalent.\nSalary and Benefits :\nFrontage Laboratories offers a competitive compensation and generous benefits package including health and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, health insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance etc.\nFrontage Laboratories Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
