Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.\nSummary:\nThis position will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's infrastructure, equipment, associated utilities and grounds. This position is expected to maintain all facility systems and keep them operational with the help of our Mechanical Contractor. The position will report to the Sr. Manager of Facilities. The incumbent will be expected to be well versed in several construction trades and have the ability to work independently according to pre-established project plans. The manager will also assist at the loading dock when needed, manage lab waste, and cleaning service. The Incumbent must be capable of working independently at one of three sites within a 2-mile radius.\nResponsibilities:\nPerforms/oversees general repair and maintenance involving HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. \nPerforms daily rounds of critical utilities and updates the system logbook accordingly.\nRun Emergency Generators weekly and take accurate readings for logbook.\nGeneral maintenance may include replacing and/or repairing lighting, incidental carpentry, paint, ceiling tiles, bathroom fixtures, moving furniture-fixtures-equipment, etc. \nIdentifies operational problems/inefficiencies, determines appropriate remedial action and executes planned changes after achieving approval.\nGeneral knowledge of building automation systems, fire alarm systems and building sprinkler systems.Monitors environmental conditions via the Building Automation System (BAS).\nResponsible for remote monitoring of building systems for after-hour emergency concerns.\nPerforms work as assigned via Computer Maintenance Management System and documents work performed in a timely manner.\nMaintains a safe and clean working environment.\nParticipates in monthly EHS meetings.\nMaintains/coordinates annual inspections and reports to keep company within all designated guidelines.\nWork hand in hand with third party vendor personnel brought on site to maintain/repair the facility in accordance with approved procedures.\nMonitors service request system via email to ensure all work requests are completed in a timely manner.\nProvide a supervisory role for temporary labor hired.\nOther duties as assigned.\nNumber of direct reports - 0\nNumber of total reports - 0\nBudget Responsibilities - None\nEducation, Experience & Skills Required :\nRequires a high school diploma or GED and must be skilled in one trade area (vocational school or equivalent in experience) with additional knowledge of one other building trade area.\nThree to six years facilities maintenance experience or equivalent in light mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing discipline.\nExperience in working with compressed air, vacuum and DI water systems\nPrior experience in a pharmaceutical facility is a plus.\nAbility to work with hand and power tools.\nAbility to work from blueprints, drawings or a rough sketch.\nAbility to source OEM documents as necessary\nKnowledge of all equipment, safety, and OSHA rules and regulations.\nAbility to work alone or with minimal supervision.\nKnowledge of Microsoft programs. \nGood verbal and written communications skills.\nExcellent people skills.\nPhysical Working Conditions:\nAbility to lift 50 pounds\nUse hand and power tools\nWork off a ladder\nAbility to work on ladders or lifts in high ceiling areas.\nOccasionally work outdoors or on a roof.\nWork with and/or coordinate work of third-party vendors.\nMUST have a can-do mentality\nBe respectful and courteous to others\nAbility to work within a TEAM structure or independently to ensure project tasks are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.\nSalary and Benefits :\nFrontage Laboratories offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including health and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, disability insurance, and life insurance.\nFrontage Laboratories Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
