Join us and be part of a team that’s shaping the future of energy while leaving a positive impact on the world.\nThe Energy Engineer will be responsible for performing energy savings analyses and gathering on-site data from end-use customer facilities, including coordinating and installing data-logging equipment. This position requires effective communication and coordination with internal teams as well as external stakeholders such as clients, contractors, and technical partners. Candidate will be responsible for site acquisition and customer outreach. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, with a strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis and Word for producing technical reports. Candidate must be familiar with measurement and verification protocols and approaches. Familiarity with project management software such as Asana or Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.\nThis position will require travel (that can be done primarily by car) up to 25% of the time.\nKey Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nEvaluate and analyze the performance of building systems (HVAC, hydronic, and electrical) in commercial and industrial environments\nConduct accurate on-site energy analyses to gather the necessary details for developing energy-saving recommendations and supporting rebate or incentive applications for end-use customers Install sub-metering devices on HVAC and process equipment and interpret the data to develop energy models\nConduct outreach to new and existing clients to find project opportunities\nManage time effectively across fieldwork and office-based tasks to ensure project milestones are met\nCollaborate with clients, contractors, and design professionals to understand building characteristics and identify opportunities for energy optimization\nTranslate findings into actionable recommendations through clear, well-organized reports and presentations\nProvide regular project updates and status reports to the program lead\nTravel to customer sites\nPerform other activities as requested related to energy conservation, reporting, and project support as needed\nRequired Skills\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Environmental, Architectural, or a related discipline. Must be ABET accredited or equivalent)\nA minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in engineering, building systems, energy efficiency, or a closely related field aligned with the specified degree disciplines Foundational understanding of commercial and industrial building systems, including HVAC, hydronic, and electrical systems\nDemonstrated experience or strong interest in energy efficiency, building performance analysis, or sustainable design\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis and reporting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw insights from data and translate them into actionable recommendations\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to diverse audiences\nDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data collection and reporting\nSelf-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks and projects\nA collaborative and personable approach with the ability to work well in both independent and team environments\nWillingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in position requires travel to client sites, the candidate must be able to reliably commute to and from assigned client locations.\nPreferred Skills\nAdvanced understanding of building systems, energy technologies, and their applications within commercial and industrial settings\nProfessional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Engineer-in-Training (EIT), LEED accreditation, or other relevant industry credentials\nExperience with Texas utility incentive programs and energy rebate application processes Familiarity with energy modeling tools, auditing software, or building automation systems\nAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and system schematics\nPrior experience supporting or leading energy audits or decarbonization initiatives\nWorking knowledge of applicable energy codes, standards, or sustainability guidelines (e.g., ASHRAE, Title 24, ENERGY
