Join us and be part of a team that’s shaping the future of energy while leaving a positive impact on the world.\nFrontier Energy is seeking a technically skilled, customer-focused professional to support the launch and growth of a Strategic Energy Management (SEM) program for commercial, institutional, and industrial customers in Texas. This role combines hands-on facility investigation, HVAC and controls expertise, energy analysis, and customer coaching to identify and sustain energy-saving operational improvements.\nThe ideal candidate has practical experience with HVAC systems, building automation or energy management systems (BAS/EMS/BMS), industrial controls, or PLCs and can effectively work with both technical systems and the people who operate them. Direct SEM experience is not required.\nThis is a full-time position based in our Austin, Texas office, with up to 30% regional travel, including occasional overnight travel.\nKey Responsibilities\nServe as a primary SEM technical advisor and energy coach for participating customers.\nDevelop strong working relationships with each customer's designated Facility Champion and facility/operations personnel.\nConduct detailed facility walkthroughs and operational assessments at large commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.\nInvestigate HVAC, refrigeration, central plant, controls, lighting, compressed air, process, and other significant energy-consuming systems.\nWork directly with building automation systems (BAS), energy management systems (EMS/BMS), and control systems to understand current operating sequences and identify optimization opportunities.\nHelp customers translate identified opportunities into specific, actionable energy management action plans.\nTrack implementation and verify that operational changes remain in place.\nParticipate in customer recruitment, presentations, workshops, and cohort meetings as the SEM program expands.\nRequired Skills\n4+ years of work experience with HVAC, controls, building automation, energy management systems commissioning/retro-commissioning, industrial controls, or facility energy management. Strong sales and/or customer service communication skills, both verbally and in writing, that authentically build trust and influence without authority.\nProven ability to coordinate, guide, and review work from staff and partners to ensure quality and accountability.\nDetailed and organized self-starter with the ability to prioritize a workload and proactively identify and resolve problems.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, with a strong emphasis on Teams for collaboration, Excel for data analysis, and Word for producing technical reports.\nMust be willing and able to contribute in a team environment, while also possessing the capability to perform work independently.\nAbility to coordinate travel logistics for off-site activity.\nAbility to independently travel to sites throughout the region up to 30% of the time, including occasional overnight travel.\nPreferred Skills\n3 - 5 years of Direct prior Strategic Energy Management (SEM) experience.\nPrevious experience supporting staff performing proactive customer engagement activities.
