As our organisation grows, we are continuing to invest in the people, systems and capabilities needed to support high-quality delivery across our portfolio.\nAs we move through this period of growth and change, some aspects of the role, including its job title, reporting line and directorate, may be subject to change as our future organisational structure takes shape.\n\nThe Design and Delivery Lead plays a key role in the development, delivery and continuous improvement of Frontline’s social work training programmes. The postholder will design high-quality learning materials and assessments, deliver engaging and evidence-informed training , contribute to participant assessment and feedback, and support quality assurance processes across the programme portfolio.\nThe postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure learning content remains current, relevant and aligned to professional standards and workforce needs.\nKey Responsibilities\nCurriculum Design and Development\nDesign, develop and maintain high-quality learning materials, resources and activities across Frontline’s portfolio of social work training programmes. \nContribute to curriculum development and enhancement, ensuring content is engaging, evidence-informed and aligned with relevant professional standards and frameworks. \nDevelop learning activities that promote critical reflection, application to practice and professional development. \nReview and update programme content in response to feedback, research, policy developments and emerging best practice. \nEnsure learning materials are inclusive, accessible and support a positive participant experience. \nTeaching and Learning\n Deliver high-quality teaching and facilitation across the training programmes using a range of learning methodologies.\nCreate engaging learning environments that promote participation, reflection and application to practice.\n Integrate research, theory and contemporary social work practice into teaching and learning activities.\nSupport participants' professional learning and development through effective facilitation and feedback.\nContribute to the ongoing development of teaching approaches and learning resources.\nAssessment and Participant Learning\nDesign and develop formative and summative assessments aligned to programme learning outcomes and professional standards.\nUndertake assessment, marking and moderation activities in line with assessment regulations and quality standards.\nProvide high-quality feedback that supports participant learning, development and achievement.\nSupport participants in understanding assessment requirements and expectations. \nContribute to assessment review and improvement activities to ensure validity, reliability and fairness.\nQuality Assurance and Enhancement\nContribute to quality assurance processes across programme design, delivery and assessment.\nParticipate in moderation, standardisation and review activities to ensure consistency and quality.\nUse participant feedback, assessment outcomes and evaluation data to inform continuous improvement.\nSupport compliance with internal quality assurance requirements and external professional standards.\nContribute to programme review and enhancement activities.\nPartnerships and Stakeholder Engagement\nWork collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the effective design and delivery of programmes. \nEngage with practitioners, subject matter experts and partners to ensure programme content remains current and practice-informed.\nContribute to the sharing of good practice across our portfolio. \nPractice Excellence and Continuing Professional Development\nMaintain current knowledge of social work practice, professional standards, policy developments and learning design approaches.\nEngage in continuous professional development and relevant to social work education and workforce development.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nExperience\nUndergraduate degree\nMaster’s degree\nSocial work qualification\nSignificant experience in social work practice and post-qualifying training\nExperience of designing and developing high-quality learning materials and curriculum content\nExperience of delivering teaching, training or facilitation to post-qualifying social work audiences\nExperience of assessment design, marking and providing developmental feedback\nKnowledge of quality assurance, assessment moderation and educational standards in professional learning programmes\nIn-depth knowledge of Social Work England's Professional Standards, Children’s Social Care National Framework and Social Care National Framework, Social Work National Development Offer, and related standards\nExperience contributing to curriculum review and programme improvement activities \nEvidence of continuous professional development and scholarly engagement in social work training and development\n\nCharacteristics and Skills\nExcellent understanding of social work practice, values, ethics and professional practice frameworks, including a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion\nStrong curriculum design, training and facilitation skills\nAbility to design engaging and high-quality learning experiences for adult learners\nStrong assessment, feedback and moderation skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work collaboratively across teams
