This individual will oversee all accounting operations, internal controls, compliance, financial close, and external audits while building a scalable accounting infrastructure to support rapid organic growth, acquisitions, and international expansion. \nThe ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with operational leadership, process improvement capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset. This role will partner closely with FP&A, Operations, Sales, HR, Legal, IT, and executive leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making. \nWhat You’ll Do Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations \nLead all global accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll Accounting, Fixed Assets, Revenue Accounting, and Treasury Accounting. \n\nOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process while continually reducing close timelines. \n\nEnsure timely and accurate preparation of internal financial statements and management reports. \n\nOversee consolidation of domestic and international entities. \n\nEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable international accounting standards. \n\nMaintain accounting policies and procedures across all business units. \n\nInternal Controls & Compliance \nDesign, implement, and continuously improve internal controls. \n\nMaintain strong governance over financial reporting processes. \n\nCoordinate annual financial statement audits and serve as primary liaison with external auditors. \n\nManage relationships with tax advisors and support corporate tax compliance. \n\nEnsure compliance with federal, state, local, and international reporting requirements. \n\nLead accounting policy research and implementation of new accounting standards. \n\nRevenue Recognition\nEnsure proper application of ASC 606 across managed services contracts. \n\nPartner with Sales Operations and Legal on contract review. \n\nDevelop standardized processes around revenue recognition for recurring revenue, implementation projects, and professional services. \n\nMonitor deferred revenue and contract asset/liability balances. \n\nProcess Improvement & Systems \nDrive automation of accounting processes through ERP and financial systems. \n\nImprove workflows through technology and AI-enabled solutions. \n\nEstablish scalable processes supporting rapid company growth. \n\nLead ERP enhancements and financial systems implementations. \n\nImprove reconciliation, reporting, and close efficiency. \n\nCash & Working Capital \nOversee cash management and daily liquidity. \n\nImprove working capital metrics. \n\nPartner with AR leadership to reduce DSO. \n\nMonitor AP processes and vendor payment strategies. \n\nOptimize cash forecasting. \n\nStrategic Business Partnership \nPartner closely with FP&A on forecasting and financial analysis. \n\nSupport budgeting process through accounting insights. \n\nParticipate in strategic initiatives including pricing, operational improvements, and profitability analysis. \n\nSupport executive leadership with financial analysis and recommendations. \n\nMergers & Acquisitions \nSupport financial due diligence. \n\nLead accounting integration activities. \n\nStandardized acquired companies' accounting policies and reporting. \n\nEnsure timely integration into ERP and reporting systems. \n\nAssist with purchase accounting. \n\nWhat You Bring Education \nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance \n\nCPA/CA required \n\nMaster's degree preferred \n\nExperience \n12+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience \n\n5+ years managing accounting teams \n\nExperience in high-growth, private equity-backed organizations preferred \n\nManaged Services, SaaS, Technology Services, or Professional Services industry experience strongly preferred \n\nMulti-entity and international accounting experience \n\nExperience leading external audits \n\nExperience with acquisitions and post-merger integration \n\nERP implementation experience preferred \n\nTechnical Skills \nStrong U.S. GAAP knowledge \n\nASC 606 Revenue Recognition \n\nFinancial consolidations \n\nInternal controls \n\nAudit management \n\nTreasury management \n\nTechnical accounting research \n\nFinancial systems expertise (NetSuite, or similar) \n\nAdvanced Excel and financial reporting tools \n\nBusiness intelligence platforms (Power BI preferred) \n\nLeadership Competencies The successful candidate will demonstrate: \nExecutive presence \n\nHigh integrity \n\nStrong business acumen & Operational excellence \n\nContinuous improvement mindset \n\nCollaborative leadership & Ability to lead through change \n\nExceptional communication skills \n\nAnalytical and data-driven decision-making \n\nNot Sure You Meet Every Requirement?
