We are more than a workplace; we are a community of forward-thinkers dedicated to shaping the future.\nPosition Overview\nThe Global Payroll Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance activities associated with the Company's global payroll operations.\nThis role will work closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, Accounting, and external payroll providers to ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely across multiple countries and that all payroll-related expenses, liabilities, taxes, and benefits are properly recorded and reconciled.\nThe position requires a strong understanding of payroll accounting, multi-country payroll processes, month-end close, internal controls, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-growing, global organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nGlobal Payroll Accounting\nOversee accounting for global payroll across multiple countries and legal entities.\nReview payroll registers and ensure payroll expenses and liabilities are accurately recorded.\nPrepare and post payroll journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and other payroll-related accounting entries.\nReconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts, including payroll taxes, benefits, employee deductions, and other liabilities.\nInvestigate and resolve payroll accounting discrepancies promptly.\nEnsure payroll accounting is aligned with Company accounting policies and applicable accounting standards.\nMonth-End Close & Financial Reporting\nOwn the payroll component of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.\nPrepare payroll-related account reconciliations and supporting schedules.\nAnalyze payroll expense fluctuations and provide explanations for significant variances.\nEnsure payroll accruals and liabilities are complete and accurate at period-end.\nSupport management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting related to employee costs.\nPartner with FP&A to provide accurate payroll and headcount information for financial planning.\nGlobal Payroll Compliance\nCoordinate with payroll providers and local teams to ensure compliance with applicable payroll tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.\nMonitor payroll-related tax and statutory liabilities across countries.\nSupport payroll audits, financial audits, tax audits, and other compliance reviews.\nMaintain appropriate documentation and controls over global payroll processes.\nIdentify potential compliance issues and escalate them to appropriate Finance, HR, or external advisors.\nInternal Controls & Process Improvement\nEstablish and maintain strong controls over global payroll accounting.\nReview and improve payroll reconciliation and approval processes.\nIdentify opportunities to automate manual payroll accounting and reporting activities.\nDevelop standardized global payroll procedures and documentation.\nSupport the implementation and enhancement of payroll, ERP, HRIS, and financial systems.\nStrengthen controls around payroll changes, employee master data, approvals, and payments.\nCross-Functional Partnership\nPartner closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and business leaders.\nWork with external payroll providers to resolve issues and improve service delivery.\nCoordinate with local finance teams to ensure consistent global payroll accounting practices.\nProvide financial insights regarding headcount, compensation, payroll costs, and related trends.\nServe as a key Finance point of contact for global payroll-related accounting matters.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.\n8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant payroll accounting experience.\nExperience supporting multi-country or global payroll preferred.\nStrong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.\nExperience with payroll taxes, employee benefits, and payroll-related liabilities.\nStrong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.\nExperience with ERP and payroll/HRIS systems.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nHigh level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and payroll information.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification.\nExperience in a high-growth, global technology, managed services, SaaS, or professional services organization.\nExperience with payroll platforms such as ADP, Workday, Rippling, Paylocity, UKG, Deel, Papaya, or similar systems.\nExperience with NetSuite or other major ERP platforms.\nExperience with payroll accounting across the U.S., Canada, U.K., India, South Africa, and other international jurisdictions.\nExperience supporting M&A integration and bringing acquired companies onto standardized payroll and accounting processes.\nNot Sure You Meet Every Requirement?\nWe know that great candidates may not match every qualification listed.
