You will be responsible for developing and implementing testing strategies for banking applications. You are a problem solver who enjoys researching, creating, and executing test scenarios, and you are always looking for a ways to recommend improvements. You believe in effective communication and are excited to address potential problems and solutions to complex issues with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDesign, develop, and implement performance testing strategies for banking applications to evaluate scalability, reliability, and system resilience\nCreate and execute performance test scenarios, including load, stress, endurance, and volume testing, using realistic workload models based on production usage and business requirements\nAnalyze application and infrastructure performance using monitoring and observability tools to identify bottlenecks, diagnose root causes, and recommend performance improvements\nPartner with Engineering, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues and optimize application performance throughout the development lifecycle\nIntegrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and support automation-first, shift-left testing practices to improve software quality and delivery\nManage performance test environments, test data, and testing tools to ensure accurate, repeatable, and reliable test execution\nPrepare and communicate performance test results, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders while supporting continuous improvement through performance tuning, incident analysis, and performance engineering best practices\nAlways take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes\nWhat you’ll need:\nBachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant work experience\n5+ years of experience in performance testing, performance engineering, or application architecture with demonstrated success establishing performance testing strategies\nDemonstrated ability to design and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, and benchmark performance tests using tools such as StresStimulus, JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or comparable technologies\nKnowledge of performance engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices, leading complex performance investigations, and influencing application architecture and technology decisions\nAdvanced technical expertise in performance analysis and root cause identification, including database diagnostics, JVM turning, thread and heap dump analysis, and infrastructure monitoring\nAdvanced technical knowledge of Java, containerized applications, APIs, microservices, and scripting languages such as Python, .NET, or Node.js\nProficiency with application performance monitoring (APM) and observability platforms such as Broadcom DX, Splunk, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry or similar tools to analyze and correlate performance test results\nDeep knowledge of performance analysis and optimization techniques for relational and NoSQL database environments\nProven ability to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and implementing shift-left performance engineering practices\nStrong background utilizing source code management and version control platforms such as GitHub and Bitbucket\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience in Agile and regulated environments\nAdditional Preferred Skills:\nExperience using AI or developer productivity tools, such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies\nFamiliarity with enterprise integration technologies such as Red Hat Fuse, MuleSoft, Kafka, or IBM MQ\nExperience testing high-volume transactional applications, batch processing, or distributed systems\nExposure to resilience testing, fault tolerance, or chaos engineering practices\nBackground supporting high available, mission-critical applications in a regulated environment\nAbility to influence technical decisions and recommend performance improvements through data-driven analysis\nOur Benefits:\nAt Frost, we care about your health, your family, and your future and strive to have our benefits reflect that.
