In this role, you will be responsible for designing, writing, testing, implementing, supporting, and documenting solutions for assigned programs and applications across the organization. You welcome a challenge and want to provide next level experiences to every individual that uses our systems.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDesign, write, test, implement, and document solutions for assigned program modules\nCollaborate with and provide technical advice to Product Owners, Business Analysts, and lines of business to estimate level-of-effort, timing, and feasibility, to design new systems based on business requirements, and to optimize system and program functionality\nReview coding for a group of software engineers to ensure alignment with business needs, change control procedures, and Frost development standards\nAlways take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes\nWhat you’ll need:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, in a related field, or equivalent experience\nDemonstrated ability to independently identify issues across interrelated programs and systems and develop the appropriate solutions, typically requiring a minimum of 4 years of experience\nStrong foundation in software engineering principles, design patterns, and modern development methodologies.\nProven expertise in Java, SQL, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.\nExperience designing and building scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise applications.\nProficient in developing REST APIs, API design, Spring Security, OAuth2/JWT, and service-to-service communication.\nExperience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.\nStrong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and distributed systems.\nHands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases.\nExperience with containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.\nExperience with API Gateway and API Management, including authentication, authorization, routing, rate limiting, and traffic management.\nProficient in unit and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks.\nStrong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills across application, platform, and infrastructure layers.\nKnowledge of resiliency patterns including Circuit Breaker, Retry, Timeout, and Bulkhead.\nAbility to lead technical design discussions, perform code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills with engineering, architecture, security, product, and business stakeholders\nAdditional Preferred Skills:\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions.\nHaving knowledge on Banking and Financial is preferred\nKnowledge of Open Banking, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), financial services platforms, payment processing, and industry security and compliance requirements.\nExperience working within cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, including cloud-native architecture patterns.\nExposure to AI-assisted software development tools and engineering productivity platforms.\nFamiliarity with front-end and mobile technologies such as Angular, React, Kotlin, Swift, Xcode, or similar frameworks.\nExperience contributing to architectural roadmaps, technology modernization initiatives, and platform engineering efforts.\nDemonstrated experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across multiple teams.\nOur Benefits:\nAt Frost, we care about your health, your family, and your future and strive to have our benefits reflect that.
