One Advisory joined the Financial Advisory pillar of FRP in May 2025.\nThe Financial Reporting team supports the financial reporting needs of London Plc’s, those companies seeking a listing in London, larger private groups and investor-backed businesses.\nRole overview\nWe are seeking a bright and talented qualified accountant, with 1 to 3 years post-qualified experience, to join our Financial Reporting team as an Assistant Manager.\nThe role is aimed at individuals who have progressed to Assistant Manager level within the firm in which they completed their training, or individuals making their second career move post-qualification. The individual should have a keen interest in financial reporting for listed or investor-backed businesses and will ideally have experience of working on IPOs or other corporate transactions.\nCandidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of taking full ownership of their set of deliverables in their current role, as well as the ability to proactively drive progress across workstreams in a fast-paced environment.\nKey responsibilities\nPreparation of financial statements under IFRS and FRS 101/102 \nIFRS conversions \nPreparation of FPPP memos and implementation of related controls \nPreparation and review of group management reporting \nAccounting for transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and reverse takeovers \nPerforming financial reporting valuations for debt and equity instruments\nDrafting technical accounting memos on areas such as convertible loan notes, impairments, leases, and revenue recognition \nPreparing integrated Excel-based forecast models covering P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow \nActing as a key point of contact for clients and managing day-to-day communications \nCoaching and supporting junior team members \nLiaising with clients’ auditors and other advisors to ensure project milestones are met \nDeveloping your own network with a view to increasing your business development capabilities over the medium term \n Fully qualified ACA or ACCA with at a minimum of 1 years post qualified experience \nAble to demonstrate extensive experience in preparing complex financial statements under IFRS and/or UK GAAP, covering all financial statement line items \nProven track record of researching complex technical accounting topics and applying to client’s specific circumstances \nStrong Excel/financial modelling skills \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \nStrong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data in a methodical manner \nAttention to detail and strong organisational skills \nEvidence of experience coaching junior staff \nA proactive team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude \nComfortable working on more than one project concurrently \nFlexible attitude when dealing with tight deadlines and critical points of a project \nStrong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines \n Our Values\nStraightforward: We provide clear, no-nonsense advice\nConfident: Our guidance is backed by expertise and evidence\nPragmatic: We focus on practical solutions and tangible outcomes\nReal: We are professional yet approachable, understanding the challenges our clients face\nOur Commitment to You and the Environment\nAt FRP, sustainability is integral to our strategy and operations.
