When we deliver, taxpayer dollars go further, agencies move faster, and millions of Americans get tangibly better service and quality of life.\nLocal governments, schools, libraries, and emergency services run on brittle software that was built decades ago. This results in wasted budgets, broken workflows, and bad outcomes for the public. We believe that the institutions closest to people's daily lives deserve products as good as anything in the private sector. We're building them.\nWe're a small, high-agency team. The people who do their best work here are:\nRelentlessly optimistic in creating a better world now\n\nDriven to maximize societal impact\n\nBrilliant and creative\n\nAbout FSH Engineering\nOur ideal candidate is an expert in their craft. They gain energy from understanding how their chosen tools work, and have used their tools to build software many times. Our ideal candidate is obsessively curious, motivated by customer outcomes, and is a technical artist.\nWe use Python, Postgres, Unix, TypeScript and React to build software. We maintain a set of internal tools to deterministically generate Python and Typescript. We obsess over how to build compounding advantages in tooling, software, and product.\nAbout the Role\nModern technologists often avoid selling to the government, schools, and non profits due to complex and unpredictable procurement processes. The FSH approach to mitigating many of these risks is heavily dependent on modern technology (including the use of generative AI).\nThis team owns the architecture, implementation, and iteration of a set of internal tools that are responsible for sourcing and responding to RFPs. This work will oscillate between rapid experimentation, platform construction, and collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild and maintain internal GTM tools\n\nEnable technical operators ability to meaningfully alter their tools\n\nIterate quickly\n\nDefine engineering culture\n\nWhat You'll Need\nExperience shipping software to users\n\nExperience building AI powered tools or products\n\n[preferred] Experience working at a venture backed company\n\n[preferred] Demonstrated enthusiasm for civic engagement\n\nYou’re the right person for the job if:\nYou believe programming is a creative pursuit\n\nYou are a perennial tinkerer\n\nYou believe abstractions can simplify complexity\n\nYou are obsessed with focused and data driven learning\n\nYou love pattern seeking\nModern inventory management is best handled through Venetian double entry accounting\n\nBuddhist meditation and dialectical behavior therapy are closely related\n\nThe distribution of crater sizes on the moon follow a power law\n\nRivers and their tributaries, blood vessels, lunch bronchi, broccoli, and lightning bolts all demonstrate related patterns\n\nEmployees are expected to live in New York City or Philadelphia and work out of our office in either location.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2966,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Digital Government","Custom Software Development"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-01T21:37:54Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":10,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.345,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":76,"expected_fill_days":23,"reasons":["conf:1","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-10-26T05:57:25Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":250000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/fsh-engineer-gtm","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/fsh-engineer-gtm.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-26T20:39:58Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":27744,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-27T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":3809412},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=3809412"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Ffsh-engineer-gtm"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Ffsh-engineer-gtm"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Ffsh-engineer-gtm"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/fsh-engineer-gtm\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Ffsh-engineer-gtm"}]}
