No industry experience is needed. We’re looking for someone who is good with their hands, likes figuring out how things work, and wants to build a career in life safety. You’ll start by working alongside experienced inspectors and take on more responsibility as your skills grow.\nWhat You’ll Do\nHelp inspect and test fire alarm and sprinkler systems under the direction of experienced inspectors.\nLearn to find and document problems with systems and equipment.\nLearn to complete accurate inspection reports.\nLearn and follow NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.\nHelp explain inspection results to customers.\nSupport service technicians when repairs are needed.\nKeep tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas safe and organized.\nComplete required training, both on the job and in the classroom or online.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nAt least 18 years old.\nMechanical aptitude: you’re comfortable using hand and power tools and like taking things apart, fixing them, or understanding how they work. Trade, mechanical work, maintenance, plumbing, electrical, automotive, farming, or military experience is a plus but not required.\nValid driver’s license and a driving record that meets our insurance requirements.\nReliable transportation to and from work.\nStrong attention to detail.\nWillingness to learn and take direction.\nGood communication skills and a professional attitude with customers.\nBasic computer or tablet skills.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe following are essential parts of this job.
