From data centers to advanced manufacturing environments, our work sits at the intersection of engineering precision and real-world execution.\nWe are looking for a Senior Electrical Commissioning Project Engineer who can lead from the front, solve complex technical challenges, and drive commissioning outcomes in high-stakes environments.\nWhy This Role Stands Out\nThis is not a checklist-driven commissioning role.\nThis is a position for someone who:\nOwns outcomes, not just tasks\nUnderstands systems holistically, not in silos\nCan operate independently while leading others\nYou will play a direct role in ensuring critical systems are designed correctly, installed properly, and perform under real-world conditions.\nWhat You’ll Do\nProject Leadership & Execution\nLead commissioning activities across the full project lifecycle\nExecute and oversee functional testing, factory witness testing, and on-site validation\nManage multiple assignments while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality expectations\nInterpret contract documents to identify risks and opportunities\nTechnical Expertise & Problem Solving\nEvaluate electrical distribution systems and building system interconnectivity\nTroubleshoot system performance issues in real time\nReview design documentation and submittals\nClient & Stakeholder Engagement\nLead commissioning meetings and communicate findings\nServe as a trusted partner to clients and contractors\nOperational Contributions\nComplete field reports, documentation, and time management\nSupport scheduling and revenue targets\nTeam Development\nMentor junior engineers and support training initiatives\nWhat You Bring\nCore Qualifications\nElectrical Engineering degree or Qualified Electrician background\n7+ years in electrical systems OR 3+ years commissioning\nData center or mission-critical experience\nTechnical Capabilities\nExperience with electrical distribution, HVAC systems, controls, fire alarm, and automation\nAbility to read construction drawings and specifications\nProfessional Skills\nStrong analytical and communication skills\nAbility to lead meetings and manage multiple priorities\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in field environments, climb ladders, and lift ~30 lbs\nPreferred\nEIT, CEM, LEED, OSHA 30, BIM experience\nTravel Requirements\nRegular travel to project sites with potential for broader U.S. travel. Must be able to work on-site as required.\nCompensation & Travel Package\nBase Salary: $150,000 to $170,000 depending on experience, comprehensive benefits, monthly per diem and mobilization support\nLong-term opportunity within FST’s growing commissioning organization\nImportant: This position is not remote or rotational from home. The successful candidate must be willing to mobilize to Atlanta, Georgia and remain site-dedicated for the duration of the project assignment.\nNo visa sponsorship available.
