Kildare\nCompany: FST Technical Services\nContract Type: Permanent / Contract\nAbout the Role\nFST Technical Services is seeking an experienced Process Engineer - Bulk Gas to join our team in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, supporting large-scale semiconductor manufacturing projects.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineer with experience in bulk gas, specialty gas, industrial utilities or semiconductor facilities to play a key role in the delivery of critical process utility systems.\nThe successful candidate will act as a technical focal point between clients, equipment vendors, design teams, construction teams and operations, supporting projects from design and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover.\nExperience with one or more of the following would be highly advantageous:\nBulk Nitrogen Systems\nVPSA Oxygen Generation Plants\nAir Separation Units (ASUs)\nHydrogen Generation & Distribution\nSpecialty Gas Systems\nCryogenic Storage & Distribution\nSemiconductor Process Utilities\n Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate bulk gas and specialty gas vendor packages from design through to commissioning and handover.\nAct as the technical interface between equipment vendors and project stakeholders.\nReview and coordinate key vendor deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, layouts, control philosophies and utility requirements.\nParticipate in and lead technical design reviews and ensure timely resolution of technical queries and actions.\nReview vendor process designs for compliance with project specifications, industry standards and operational requirements.\nReview process calculations, equipment selections, pressure control schemes, redundancy philosophies and utility consumption.\nCoordinate interfaces between gas systems and other disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & controls, civil/structural and facility systems.\nSupport procurement activities, technical tender reviews, vendor evaluations and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).\nProvide engineering support during construction, installation and system integration.\nSupport commissioning, start-up, performance testing, SAT and final handover.\nParticipate in HAZID, HAZOP and process safety reviews.\nEnsure work is delivered in accordance with applicable health & safety, quality and environmental requirements.\nRequirementsEssential\nDegree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related discipline.\n5+ years' experience in process engineering, industrial utilities or vendor package management.\nExperience delivering complex industrial process or utility systems.\nStrong understanding of PFDs, P&IDs, process control and process safety.\nExperience working with vendors, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.\nStrong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.\nDesirableExperience in any of the following would be an advantage:\nSemiconductor manufacturing\nBulk or specialty gas systems\nIndustrial gas suppliers\nVPSA or ASU systems\nCryogenic storage and distribution\nHydrogen infrastructure\nHigh-purity process utilities\nCommissioning and start-up\nBIM/Navisworks coordination\nChartered Engineer status or working towards
