Our Commissioning division partners with clients across data centers and mission-critical environments to validate that systems are designed, installed, and performing at the highest level.\nWe are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer who brings deep technical expertise, field leadership, and the ability to drive outcomes in high-performance environments.\nWhy This Role Stands Out\nThis is a position for someone who:\nOwns system performance from design through execution \nUnderstands how complex mechanical systems operate as a whole \nCan identify and solve issues before they impact operations \nYou will work on large-scale, mission-critical data centerprojects where performance, reliability, and precision are non-negotiable.\nWhat You will Do\nProject Leadership & Execution\n\nLead commissioning activities across the full lifecycle of a data center build to include L1-L5\nExecute functional testing, witness testing, and system validation\nManage assignments within schedule, budget, and quality expectations\nTechnical Expertise & Problem Solving\nEvaluate HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, and automation systems\nTroubleshoot system performance issues\nReview design documentation\nClient Engagement\nLead meetings and communicate findings\nBuild relationships with clients and contractors\nOperational Contributions\nComplete reports and manage time and expenses\nTeam Development\nMentor junior engineers and support training\nWhat You Bring\nCore Qualifications\nDegree in HVACR, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field\n5+ years experience in commissioning engineering\n3+ years of Data center experience required\n\nTechnical Capabilities\nExperience with HVAC, controls, automation, fire safety systems\nAbility to read construction documents\nProfessional Skills\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in field environments and lift 30 lbs\nPreferred\nEIT, CEM, OSHA 30, BIM experience, Facility Grid\nTravel Requirements\nTravel to project sites as needed based on project demands.\nCompensation & Travel Package\nBase Salary: $150,000 to $170,000 depending on experience, comprehensive benefits, monthly per diem and mobilization support\nLong-term opportunity within FST’s growing commissioning organization\nImportant: This position is not remote or rotational from home. The successful candidate must be willing to mobilize to Atlanta, Georgia and remain site-dedicated for the duration of the project assignment.\nNo visa sponsorship available.
