This role provides a unique opportunity to gain deep exposure to the FinTech ecosystem while contributing to the build-out of a differentiated research product in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.\nThis role could allow for rapid expansion of responsibility, as the Associate will work closely with the entire equity research team, the investment banking team, and FT Partners' leadership to generate high-quality, actionable research and support institutional investor engagement. This includes financial modeling, thematic analysis, industry forecasting, and client interaction.\nKey Responsibilities\nResearch & Analysis\nSupport coverage of FinTech companies and industry subsectors.\nBuild and maintain robust financial models, including earnings forecasts, valuations (DCF, comps), and scenario planning.\nConduct in-depth company and sector research using public filings, proprietary data, and third-party sources.\nAnalyze market, competitive, and regulatory trends that influence investment outlooks.\nAuthor high-quality research reports, investment recommendations, and thematic pieces.\nClient & Stakeholder Engagement\nCommunicate investment ideas and research findings to institutional clients, internal stakeholders, and sales/trading teams.\nPrepare and present materials for client meetings, industry events, roadshows, and conferences.\nServe as a point of contact for client inquiries and relationship management.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.\nMBA or CFA designation (or candidacy) is a plus.\nExperience\n2-4 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, consulting, or asset management.\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.\nStrong understanding of financial modeling, accounting, and valuation methodologies.\nFamiliarity with industry data platforms and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ).\nSoft Skills\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.\nEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-starter attitude.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance culture.\nStrong interest in-and knowledge of-the FinTech ecosystem.\nLicensing Requirements\nSIE, Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 exams passed (or willingness to obtain them promptly upon hire).\nWhy Join FT Partners?\nBe part of a pioneering research team at the leading FinTech investment bank.\nGain unmatched exposure to industry-defining companies and deals.\nWork closely with top-tier senior professionals and a fast-growing global team.\nEnjoy a meritocratic environment with clear growth paths and mentorship opportunities.\nCompensation: 160-200k total comp\nFT Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
