We are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Controller to take ownership of logistics and customs activities across our UK operations to be based out of either our Aberdeen or Wallingford offices. This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional who thrives on ensuring goods move safely, efficiently and compliantly whilst driving continuous improvement across supply chain processes.\nWorking closely with internal stakeholders, logistics partners and regulatory bodies, you will provide expert guidance on freight logistics, customs compliance and transportation activities. You will be responsible for ensuring robust governance, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing logistics performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.\nYour role and responsibilities:\nLead and oversee day to day logistics and customs activities across designated business areas and sites.\nEnsure all logistics transactions are accurately recorded and maintained within company systems and registers.\nProvide guidance and support on logistics best practice, customs requirements and international freight movements.\nMonitor changes to regulatory and customs requirements, ensuring the business remains fully compliant.\nManage relationships and performance of freight forwarders and logistics service providers.\nMaintain logistics related licences, guarantees and regulatory arrangements.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise logistics operations and reduce third party costs.\nSupport the development and performance management of logistics personnel.\nWork collaboratively with Supply Chain, Warehouse, QHSSE and operational teams to deliver best in class logistics services.\nWhat you’ll need to thrive in this role:\nWe're looking for someone with strong logistics and customs expertise who can confidently manage complex freight movements and regulatory requirements.\nSignificant experience in freight logistics and customs operations is essential.\nPrevious supervisory or team leadership experience is also essential.\nStrong knowledge of import/export regulations and logistics compliance.\nExperience managing third party logistics providers and contractor performance.\nKnowledge of dangerous goods transportation requirements across land, air and sea.\nExcellent organisational and communication skills.\nAdvanced IT skills, including experience with logistics systems, databases and spreadsheets.\nA full driving licence.\nForklift certification and Dangerous Goods Transport qualifications would be advantageous.\nAbout Us\nWho we are\nDo you want to join our Geo-data revolution?
