In this leadership role, you will be responsible for shaping and further developing Fugro's global Security Operations function. If you thrive on building high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, and creating impact across a global organization, we would like to hear from you.\nYour role\nYou lead Fugro's global Security Operations team, ensuring timely detection and response to threats while safeguarding our people, assets, and information; \nYou act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating security risks and operational challenges into clear business priorities and decisions; \nYou own our managed SOC service and the technical implementation of security tooling, including EDR, SIEM, email filtering, and related defensive platforms; \nYou lead the full incident response lifecycle and provide leadership during major security incidents, ensuring effective coordination, decision-making, and communication across stakeholders; \nYou define, continuously improve, and maintain operational processes, procedures, playbooks, and workflows for alerting, escalation, and incident handling; \nYou maintain and develop an effective set of detection use cases, providing Fugro with early warning of security events of interest; \nYou drive the continuous hardening of Fugro's IT, cloud, and OT landscape, working with infrastructure, platform, and application teams to ensure security controls remain effective against evolving threats; \nYou own global vulnerability management across infrastructure, applications, cloud, and workplace, setting priorities based on risk, exploitability, and business impact, informing the different IT solution teams on remediation progress; \nYou manage Fugro's security testing program, including penetration testing, code scanning, secure development support, and red and purple team exercises, translating findings into sustainable improvements; \nYou build strong relationships with stakeholders across IT, OT, business functions, and regional teams, ensuring alignment between security objectives, operational realities, and business priorities; \nYou provide management with clear visibility into emerging threats, operational risks, security performance, and overall security posture, enabling informed decision-making; \nYou develop, mentor, and coach team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.\nYour track record\nYou have a BSc or MSc in Information Security, Computer Science, or relevant professional experience, with at least 7 years of experience in information security, including a minimum of 2 years managing or coordinating SOC or Security Operations teams; \nYou have proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing; \nYou have a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and effectively navigate complex stakeholder environments across technical and business functions; \nYou are a confident and pragmatic leader who remains calm under pressure, makes sound decisions with incomplete information, sets clear priorities and communicates concisely and effectively in fast-paced and evolving situations;\nYou have hands-on experience with SIEM tooling and a strong understanding of security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response; \nYou remain calm, structured, and effective during high-pressure situations or major incidents, taking ownership and coordinating stakeholders to achieve the best outcome; \nYou have a solid technical foundation across IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and Operational Technology (OT); \nYou are able to balance technical, operational, and business considerations, ensuring security outcomes support organizational objectives; \nYou have excellent written and spoken English skills; \nRelevant certifications (CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCIR, GSOC, CDSA, OSDA, CCSP, or similar) are a plus, but what matters most is a genuine commitment to continuous learning and professional development.\nWhat Fugro offers\nA diverse and inclusive working environment; \nA gross monthly salary between €7700 and €8400, depending on your relevant experience.
