Fugro is looking for a Team Leader for our Standard Laboratory to join our team in Belgium (Louvain-La-Neuve). In this key role, you will have a direct impact on the quality of our data and contribute to important energy and infrastructure projects.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nThis role is about leading our Standard Laboratory team, ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency in our geotechnical testing. You will be:\nLeading Daily Operations: You’ll be in charge of the day-to-day activities of the Standard Laboratory, ensuring that your team collects, tests, and analyzes geotechnical data efficiently, on time, and within budget.\n\nGuiding and Developing Your Team: You'll actively manage, lead, and support your team of laboratory personnel. Helping them develop their skills through coaching and training is a big part of the job.\n\nUpholding Quality and Standards: You will be the technical reference for your team, making sure all work meets our high quality and safety standards. A key part of this is ensuring compliance with procedures like ISO 17892, BS1377, and contributing to our ISO 17025 quality system.\n\nManaging Laboratory Resources: You'll ensure your team has everything it needs to succeed, from planning the maintenance and calibration of equipment to managing the availability of materials.\n\nDriving Continuous Improvement: You will take ownership of the lab's evolution, actively participating in technical discussions and looking for ways to improve our processes and capabilities.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\nWe're looking for someone who combines strong technical lab knowledge with natural leadership skills.\nEducation: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent through experience.\n\nLeadership Experience: Experience in leading teams (> 3 years).
