As a Application Developer, you will support our customers in developing innovative solutions for challenging optimization and simulation problems while working at the intersection of business and technology.
Your Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment on innovative customer projects.
- Develop mathematical models and algorithms to solve complex optimization challenges.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical and mathematical solution approaches.
- Design use cases and solution concepts for customers using quantum computing technologies.
- Contribute to projects in areas such as:
- Routing and route optimization
- Logistics and transportation planning
- Scenario and risk analysis
- Portfolio optimization
- Resource and capacity planning
- Research scientific publications and emerging trends in quantum computing and assess their applicability to customer projects.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Computer Science
- Telecommunications
- Engineering
- Or a comparable field of study
- Master's degree with a specialization in Quantum Computing
- At least one year of professional experience, ideally within the IT, technology, or consulting industry
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
- Strong programming skills and hands-on experience with Python
- Broad knowledge of quantum algorithms and quantum information theory
- Experience in modeling Ising and QUBO problems
- Experience with quantum computing SDKs and related development environments
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectively to different audiences
- Ability to quickly analyze and evaluate scientific publications and practical application papers in the field of quantum computing
- Ability to derive technical solution approaches from abstract business requirements and constraints
