Job Description for Senior Quantum Computing Researcher/Scientist

Job Location: -Bangalore

Job Level: Open-ended, commensurate with experience

Product and Services -

Developed technologies would be incorporated in Fujitsu's quantum technology products and customer services.

Overview-

We are seeking talented researchers to join our Quantum Technology R&D team. The researcher carries out originalresearch in the field of Quantum Technologyaccording to Fujitsu’s Quantumstrategy. The candidateis responsibleforidentifyingand solving problems that are cutting-edgeand enable progress inthe field.The role lies at the intersection of quantum theory, quantum algorithms, applications, and software.

Required Skills

• PhD in physics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field with expertisein any subfield of quantum computing research, or applications (eg: quantum chemistry, materials science)

• Strong track recordof publications

• Familiaritywith latest techniques in quantum computing

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

• Effective communication skills for both technical and semi-technical presentations

• Ability to take ownership of work, effective documentation/organization/progress tracking ability

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct novel research activitiesin the field of quantum computing

• Produce patents and technical reports on the proposed approachesthrough detailed theoretical and numerical analysis

• Understand the impact of the research with respect to the development roadmaps of fault-tolerant quantum computation (both in theory and hardware)

• Test novel ideas usingquantum simulators or real-quantum hardware as applicable

• Participate in developing relevant quantum software libraries as required

• Build and participatein team projects and team deliverables with potential business outcomes

• Publish research work in top-journalsand international conferences

• Stay on top of current research literature and advancements in related areas

• Present work and progress to senior leadership

• Givetechnical talks on recent,relevant developments as part of research activities

• Participatingin industry-academia collaborative research

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-performance computing

• Experience in developing or using python code

• Experience with open-source quantum simulators, Git, code review, documentation
