Federal University of Lafia is a Nigerian federal public university in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State. Established in February 2011 to widen access to quality university education, it has a College of Medicine, a School of Postgraduate Studies and faculties ranging from computing, law, engineering and environmental design to pharmaceutical science, nursing and agriculture. It recruits lecturers across disciplines such as accounting, biochemistry, cyber security and veterinary microbiology, as well as accountants, programmers, medical laboratory scientists and pharmacy interns.

Federal University of Lafia was established in February 2011 with the mandate to increase access and quality of university education in Nigeria. The University is in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State. It currently has a College of Medicine, a Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development, two Schools (School of Basic and Remedial Studies and School of Postgraduate Studies), eight (8) Faculties with fifty (50) undergraduate and forty-six (46) postgraduate programmes.

Requirements

  • The candidate must have a Ph.D Degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution plus three (3) years teaching experience and two (2) journal publications all of which must have been published or Ph.D with professional registration plus two (2) published journal articles or a Master's Degree plus six (6) years teaching experience plus five (5) journal articles, three (3) of which must have been published.

Conditions of Service
The conditions of service are as obtainable in Nigerian Universities and as approved by the Federal University of Lafia Governing Council.
