This is an in-office position at our SE Calgary facility with eligibility to work from home one day per week, dependent on specific project deadlines and ad-hoc requirements\nResponsibilities Include:\nLead development and validation of custom robotic systems\nCollaborate with electrical and software disciplines during development\nWork with suppliers and integrators to evaluate and integrate new technology\nParticipate in scope of work meetings, and develop system requirements accordingly\nLead design review meetings, manage feedback\nConduct root cause analysis of in-field issues and drive corrective actions\nPerform mechanical design and drafting tasks\nProvide technical leadership to field operations as required\nSupport production technicians as required\nOccasional travel required for pilot project support\nRequired Qualifications:\nBSc. in Mechanical Engineering or related field\nProficiency in SolidWorks, or related CAD software\nExperience utilizing FEA software and interpreting results\nPrevious new product development experience in robotics, automation or similar field\nSolid understanding of mechanical design/drafting principles, GD&T, DFM & DFA\nPractical troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience \nHands-on experience with basic fabrication, mechanical assembly, wire harness assembly\nAbility to demonstrate a methodical and organized approach to continuous improvement\nStrong written and oral communication skills \nExcellent attention to detail \nStrong time management skills\nBeneficial Skills (Nice to Haves):\nExperience in design or manufacturing of electrical systems\nExperience in change management, BOM management and component sourcing\nProject management experience \nKeen interest in drones, robotics, and unmanned systems\nExpected Interview Stages:\n45 minute virtual interview\n1 hour in-person interview (when possible)\nPlease submit a professional portfolio with your application highlighting past work and applicable skills.\nFulcrumAir offers a competitive wage and benefits, depending on an applicant’s skills and experience.
