Our products help support some of the world's most advanced manufacturing and technology applications.\nWe are seeking a hands-on Concrete Casting Technician to join our Production team. This role is responsible for building and preparing precision formwork, placing embedded components, pouring and finishing concrete, and ensuring all castings meet exact customer specifications. This position combines craftsmanship, precision measurement, fabrication skills, and quality control in a clean indoor manufacturing environment.\nThis position description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role. Duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be adjusted as business needs evolve.\nWhat You'll Do\nForm Setup & Preparation\nSet up and assemble complex multi-piece steel forms for precision concrete pedestals and machine bases.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and layout information.\nPosition and secure forms to ensure dimensional accuracy.\nPrepare casting tables, tooling, and materials for production.\nReinforcement & Embedded Components\nTack weld rebar and ferrous loops according to engineering requirements.\nAccurately position machined embedded blocks and components within forms.\nVerify locations and measurements using precision measuring tools.\nEnsure all reinforcement and embedded materials meet print specifications.\nConcrete Casting & Finishing\nPour, consolidate, and finish concrete to required specifications.\nMonitor casting processes to ensure product quality and consistency.\nRemove steel forms after curing requirements have been met.\nSet completed concrete pedestals and machine bases for curing.\nQuality Control\nPerform quality inspections throughout the casting process.\nVerify dimensions, placement, and finished product requirements.\nIdentify and communicate quality concerns promptly.\nEnsure all work meets customer specifications and company quality standards.\nEquipment, Maintenance & Housekeeping\nClean, repair, maintain, and store casting forms and tooling.\nMaintain casting tables and production equipment.\nKeep work areas clean, organized, and safe.\nAssist other production departments as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nSafety & Continuous Improvement\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures.\nWear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.\nParticipate in safety meetings and training programs.\nPromote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.\nProficiency using both metric and imperial measuring systems.\nSolid understanding of precision measurement techniques.\nAbility to accurately read and use measuring instruments.\nAbility to read and interpret shop drawings and perform accurate layout work.\nExperience with welding and basic metal fabrication.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.\nAbility to learn new processes and adapt to changing production needs.\nEffective time-management and organizational skills.\nTeam-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.\nCommitment to maintaining a safe work environment.\nAbility to routinely lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 60 pounds.\nAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience in precast concrete, concrete forming, construction, manufacturing, or fabrication.\nExperience working from engineering drawings and specifications.\nForklift or overhead lifting equipment experience.\nQuality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.\nWork Environment\nPrimarily indoor production environment.\nFast-paced manufacturing setting with occasional overtime requirements.\nPhysically demanding work involving standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material handling.\nExposure to concrete materials, fabrication operations, and production equipment.\nWork is performed on a concrete manufacturing shop floor.\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and provided by the company.\nSafety-toe work boots are required.\nWhy Fulcrum?\nAt Fulcrum Technologies, you'll be part of a team that values craftsmanship, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
