This role supports daily production goals by ensuring parts are cut accurately, material is handled properly, and equipment is maintained for optimal performance.\nThe ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, understands manufacturing tolerances, and takes ownership of quality, safety, and productivity.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMachine Operation\nSet up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut sheet metal and plate materials.\nLoad and unload raw material and finished parts using appropriate material handling equipment.\nVerify programs, tooling, and material type/thickness prior to running jobs.\nMonitor machine operation and adjust parameters as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.\nGet trained to program nesting operations to become fully trained as a programmer and operator\nPerform first-article inspections and in-process checks per work instructions.\nQuality & Documentation\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, travelers, and work instructions.\nEnsure parts meet dimensional, cosmetic, and quality requirements.\nAccurately complete production travelers, inspection records, and job documentation.\nIdentify and report nonconforming material or process issues to supervision.\nMaterial & Production Control\nMaintain proper material identification and traceability.\nOptimize sheet utilization and minimize scrap where possible.\nMeet production schedules while maintaining quality standards.\nCoordinate with Programming, Engineering, and Quality teams as needed.\nEquipment & Maintenance\nPerform daily startup, shutdown, and routine machine maintenance.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\nReport machine issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly.\nFollow all safety procedures related to laser operation, material handling, and PPE.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n>5 years’ experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment in a manufacturing environment (experience level may vary).\nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.\nBasic understanding of CNC controls and machine setup.\nExperience working with sheet metal and/or plate materials (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.).\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to lift up to 35lbs and stand for extended periods.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with specific laser platforms (e.g., Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, Mazak).\nFamiliarity with nesting software and CNC programming concepts.\nExperience in ISO 9001 / AS9100 or other regulated manufacturing environments.\nForklift or overhead crane certification.\nUnderstanding of material grades, thicknesses, and cutting parameters.\nKey Competencies\nSafety-conscious and
