This position is responsible for developing 3D models, fabrication drawings, tooling designs, and engineering documentation that support both new product development and ongoing manufacturing operations.\nThe ideal candidate enjoys solving design challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and transforming concepts into accurate, manufacturable designs that support world-class manufacturing.\nThis position description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role. Duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be adjusted as business needs evolve.\nWhat You'll Do\nProduct Design & Development\nDevelop concepts and create detailed 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.\nProduce engineering drawings and documentation for new products and product enhancements.\nDesign fabrication fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing aids for new and existing products.\nEnsure designs meet customer requirements, functional objectives, and manufacturing capabilities.\nSupport new product development from concept through production release.\nDrafting & Documentation\nCreate detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).\nProduce engineering documentation that supports manufacturing, quality, installation, and customer requirements.\nMaintain drawing accuracy and configuration control in accordance with company standards.\nProcess engineering revisions and design updates through established change management procedures.\nWork with both metric and U.S. customary measurement systems.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, Production, Installation, and Project Management teams.\nSupport first-time builds and product launches by providing design assistance and resolving technical issues.\nAssist manufacturing teams in resolving production-related design concerns.\nIncorporate customer feedback and field observations into design improvements.\nParticipate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve manufacturability, efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.\nSupport development of standardized drawing practices and design processes.\nAssist with special projects and engineering initiatives as assigned.\nContribute to a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nApproximately three (3) years of mechanical design experience using Autodesk Inventor 2018 or newer.\nApproximately three (3) years of 2D drafting experience using AutoCAD.\nExperience creating complete engineering documentation, including fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials.\nExperience working with engineering change management systems.\nAbility to work effectively with both metric and U.S. customary units.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.\nExperience designing for a metal fabrication environment, including knowledge of welding processes and welding symbols.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nReliable transportation.\nAbility to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with ERP systems.\nKnowledge of machining practices, surface finishes, and GD&T principles.\nPrevious hands-on fabrication or manufacturing experience.\nExperience supporting custom-engineered or low-volume manufacturing environments.\nFamiliarity with semiconductor, industrial equipment, or precision manufacturing industries.\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.\nEquivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.\nWork Environment\nProfessional office environment supporting a fast-paced manufacturing operation.\nRegular collaboration with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Project Management teams.\nOccasional visits to the manufacturing floor where required PPE must be worn.\nThis is primarily an onsite position; limited remote work may be approved as business needs require.\nOccasional overtime may be required to support project deadlines and production schedules.\nMinimal travel required.\nWhy Fulcrum?\nAt Fulcrum Technologies, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to highly engineered products that support some of the world's most advanced semiconductor manufacturing technologies.
