This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll design, build and operate distributed systems that process healthcare data at scale.\nYou’ll work across the full technology stack, integrating with third-party platforms, cloud services and open-source technologies to deliver resilient, secure and scalable software.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign, build and maintain distributed web applications and backend services.\nDevelop features across frontend, backend, APIs and infrastructure.\nIntegrate with third-party vendor platforms, healthcare systems and open-source technologies.\nDesign scalable APIs and data models.\nBuild and operate cloud-native services on AWS and Kubernetes.\nDrive software quality through testing, observability and operational excellence.\nContribute to architectural decisions while remaining actively involved in implementation.\nTroubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and performance.\nSkills & Experience\nEssential\nSignificant commercial experience building modern web and backend applications.\nStrong experience with:Next.js\nTypeScript / Node.js\nNestJS or similar backend frameworks\nPostgreSQL\nAWS\nKubernetes\n\nExperience working with distributed systems and cloud-native applications.\nExperience integrating with third-party APIs, commercial SaaS products and open-source technologies.\nStrong understanding of REST APIs, authentication and application security.\nExperience with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.\nExperience using AI-assisted software development tools.\nDesirable\nExperience working in healthcare or other regulated industries.\nExperience working with FHIR R4/R4B and HL7 v2 healthcare interoperability standards.\nExperience with event-driven architectures.\nExperience with
