Working across Finance, Partner Managers, Distribution Centers, and ERP system teams, you’ll help connect purchasing, goods receiving, invoice matching, and vendor payments into an accurate, efficient procure-to-pay process.\nYou’ll thrive here if you’re a people leader with a proven track record of AP transformation in a business that purchases, receives, and sells physical goods. You understand the operational details, see where processes break down, and know how to build better ways of working.\nWhat you'll do\nLead the team responsible for invoice processing, vendor payments, disbursements, and reconciliations, setting clear priorities and ensuring accurate, timely execution.\nCoach and develop Accounts Payable Specialists through regular feedback, clear expectations, and accountability.\nDrive procure-to-pay improvements across purchasing, goods receiving, invoice matching, and payment workflows in partnership with Finance, Partner Managers, and Distribution Centers.\nBuild reliable, automated processes that reduce manual work, prevent recurring errors, and support growing transaction volumes.\nStrengthen controls across purchase orders, approvals, payments, employee expenses, and corporate card activities.\nGuide the resolution of complex invoice and payment discrepancies, addressing root causes across purchasing, receiving, and AP.\nSupport cash flow planning through team oversight of vendor obligations and payment timing.\nPartner with Finance and ERP system teams to improve ERP, EDI, and AP integrations and workflows.\nEstablish and monitor measures of accuracy, timeliness, and process performance to guide improvements.\nOversee AP support for audits, required tax filings, and financial reporting.\nDrive practical adoption of AI and automation to improve accuracy and make AP operations more scalable.\nWhat you bring to the table\n7+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, or related financial operations, including management responsibility for an AP team.\nA proven track record of leading AP transformation, with measurable improvements in automation, accuracy, efficiency, or controls.\nExperience managing procure-to-pay processes in an inventory-based business, such as wholesale, distribution, retail, or e-commerce.\nA strong understanding of how purchase orders, goods receipts, invoice matching, and vendor payments connect, including how to resolve discrepancies across those workflows.\nExperience developing teams and delivering results through clear priorities, coaching, and accountability.\nExperience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms, and EDI tools or integrations that support purchasing and invoice workflows.\nStrong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, financial controls, and compliance requirements.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn recurring operational issues into lasting process improvements.\nClear communication skills and the ability to lead improvements across teams.\nBonus if you have\nHands-on experience with NetSuite in an Accounts Payable or finance environment.\nExperience with SPS Commerce EDI, including supporting integrations, transaction flows, or issue resolution.\nExperience leading ERP, EDI, or AP system implementations or significant workflow improvements.\nExperience scaling financial operations in a growing, mid-sized business.\nExperience applying AI tools to financial operations with appropriate controls and oversight.\nWhat we can offer you\nRemote-first flexibility to work where you work best, with Ottawa or Toronto preferred for this role.\nFlexible PTO and competitive pay, because work-life balance matters\nRRSP/401k match and competitive compensation packages to invest in your future\nPremium benefits package with customizable coverage, paramedical services, and an HSA.\nFullscript discounts to save on high-quality wellness products\nContinuous learning opportunities to grow your skills and career\nCompensation Range\nThe salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $120,000 CAD.
