As a trusted resource for employees and managers, you’ll make payroll information clear and accessible while handling sensitive information with care.\nYou’ll also help shape how we work by identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, simplify workflows, and iterating on how we use our HRIS and ERP. This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and making payroll processes more efficient and dependable.\nWhat you'll do:\nProcess bi-weekly payroll in ADP Workforce Now for Canadian employees; including timecard review, off-cycle calculations, deductions, taxable benefits and paid leave.\n\nEnsure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation, employment standards and CRA requirements.\n\nRespond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll-related questions\n\nPrepare reporting to fund benefit-related deductions from employee’s pay - RRSP, HSA and various tax entities\n\nMaintenance and creation of various employee time off policies in the timekeeping system\n\nCreate payroll journal entries for posting in NetSuite(ERP), including regular payroll, month end, and other adjustments\n\nResponsible for end of year payroll transactions-T4s, T4As and amendments, plus required federal and provincial filings.\n\nRequired to meet deadlines on multiple projects that may occur at the same time\n\nOther duties as assigned that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications of the position\n\nOwn payroll liability and GL reconciliations, and resolve variances before month-end close.\n\nMaintain and test payroll controls, and support external audits.\n\nIdentify and lead process improvements and automation in ADP and NetSuite.\n\nAct as the technical go-to for complex issues like multi-state tax registration, garnishments, ROEs, and CPP/EI corrections.\n\nManage provincial workers’ compensation reporting and payments (e.g., WorkSafeBC) and employer health tax filings.\n\nWhat you bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience\n\n5+ years of Canadian payroll experience, including full-cycle processing and year-end.\n\nPayroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation preferred.\n\nExperience with ADP Workforce Now.\n\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information.\n\nAdvanced Excel and Google Workspace skills.\n\nAbility to multitask on multiple projects at any given time.\n\nUS payroll exposure and project management experience are a plus.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3309,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Canada","iso":"CA","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["E-commerce Platforms","Dietary Supplements"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-23T20:03:54Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"CA","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Positions approved through LMIA in 12 months: 2","filings_12m":2,"filings_prev_12m":1,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"High Wage;
