Supports implementation of company strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nApplies job specific technical/ engineering expertise in project management and product development. Supports industry through demonstrated ability to facilitate and influence task groups to achieve industry desired outcomes\n\nSupport and perform product development / project engineering tasks for working groups, and/or user forums as assigned, including:\n\nDevelop proposals for statement of work for new and revised standards & technical reports\n\nSupport projects, make plans to accomplish goals and facilitate the integration of technical activities\n\nDevelop industry guidance, standards and technical reports, coordinating responses to industry comments and coordinating with related industry groups and representing the subcommittees and working groups in meetings and forums\n\nSupport and perform technical oversight report generation/assessment as directed with strict confidentiality and compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements; conduct technical oversight as required; review/update reports; follow up and close non-conformances; ensure effective closure of reports for timely release of documents; provide technical summary reports to the assigned task group; quick elevation of issues for resolution.\n\n Supports the work programs of assigned subcommittees and working groups, including technical planning, meeting logistics, facilitation, and meeting report preparation. Function as the focal point for committee activities by writing and issuing agendas and minutes, resolving problems, communicating information, answering inquiries, etc.\n\n Plans and conducts technical meetings, prepares materials, and facilitates technical sessions and seminars. Prepares technical meeting reports and presentation of results for industry coordination.\n\nSupports the planning of and contributes to the technical sessions at Industry Conferences & Technical Meetings. Support the program communication strategy plan. Provide input to the plan and support workshops, appearances and exhibits, as assigned. Also support and help to coordinate the development of marketing materials, as applicable.\n\nExecute straightforward tasks to support leadership committees as assigned and required.\n\nProvide limited support of straightforward new initiatives, as assigned. Recommend process improvements for assigned programs. Identify gaps/problems and report to appropriate management. Participates in user-experience research to identify obstacles, improve ease-of-use, customer satisfaction and inform future product and service development, as applicable.\n\nSupport the program strategic plan through alignment with deadlines, goals, and milestones.\n\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\n\n6 years’ experience in automotive or automated vehicle engineering, project management, project engineering, or technical management roles. \n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, science, or business management.\n\nTechnical/engineering expertise with experience in the areas of responsibility for technical standards use, development, or auditing (automated or automotive industry use preferred).\n\nStrong interpersonal and communications skills along with excellent analytical, writing, editing, and presentation skills.\n\nAbility to organize effectively, carry out independent action, work on simultaneous assignments, and perform functions of a confidential manner.\n\nStrong project management skills.\n\nGlobal and cultural sensitivities.\n\nAttention to detail.\n\nStrong teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.\n\nUnderstanding of trade association operations.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nMaster’s degree in, engineering, science, quality, finance, or business management\n\nRole-related certifications.\n\n2 years of experience managing volunteer committees, or similar experience.\n\nStrong computer skills including MS Office and typical office application software; Knowledge of software and database systems.\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nStandard business hours with flexibility for global meetings.\n\nRemote office with reliable, secure internet connection and proper ergonomic setup.\n\nFrequent virtual meetings; occasional travel (up to 30%) for technical conferences or committee sessions.\n\nMust maintain a confidential and secure workspace and comply with company data security policies.\n\n#ITCABOUT THE ORGANIZATIONSAE Industry Technologies Consortia® (SAE ITC) enables organizations to define and pilot best practices.
