What’s on offer?

FH and ACCIONA are delivering one of Queensland's most significant road infrastructure projects, creating a major new transport corridor that will improve safety, reduce congestion, strengthen flood resilience and support the long-term growth of the Rockhampton region.

We're looking for a Contracts Administrator who wants genuine responsibility and the opportunity to accelerate their career. This isn't a role where you'll be stuck processing paperwork. You'll take ownership of your own subcontract packages from award through to close-out, while being supported and mentored by an experienced commercial team.

What you’ll do?

  • Managing a portfolio of subcontract packages, including correspondence, notices, registers and compliance requirements.
  • Assessing progress claims and issuing payment schedules in accordance with the BIF Act (Qld).
  • Valuing variations, assessing delay and EOT claims, and negotiating commercial outcomes with subcontractors.
  • Managing end-to-end subcontract procurement, including scope review, tender analysis, commercial and contractual assessments, negotiation of contract departures, and recommendations for subcontract award.
  • Ensuring the scope, schedule of rates and Head Contract align with what is being delivered on site.
  • Working closely with engineers, supervisors and project teams to support successful project delivery.

How you’ll connect to the role?

  • Intermediate experience in contracts or commercial administration, ideally with a principal contractor in roads, bridges or civil infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts, variations, EOTs and security of payment processes.
  • The confidence to negotiate with subcontractors and the judgement to know when escalation is required.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Well-developed Excel skills and experience working with commercial or ERP systems.
  • Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or Law are advantageous, but practical experience is highly valued.

Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL. Respect, Energy and Effort, Attitude and Leadership encapsulate what we stand for at Fulton Hogan and encourage us to foster a diverse and inclusive culture where we listen to, care for, celebrate, and respect everyone.

We are committed to reconciliation and building and nurturing respectful relationships with First Nations peoples. Through our First Nations Engagement Strategy and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we aim to promote opportunities, cultural understanding and partnerships that celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of Indigenous communities.

If our values resonate with you, please submit an application for the position. If you’re not sure that you meet 100% of the selection criteria, that’s okay, we would still like to hear from you and potentially discuss how your skills could be utilised at Fulton Hogan.

For over 90 years, Fulton Hogan has been delivering high-quality infrastructure to improve the lives of people every day. Our 10,000+ team works in every kind of weather and environment, creating, connecting, and caring for communities across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
